Banking and using banked points

Hi,
July will be my first time to "Go Home" using DVC. I'm working on reservations now and have just run into some concern. Can anyone help? Here's the situation.
I have banked 240 points from 2004 to my UY of June for 2005. In July we'll be using 195 points at Disneyland Hotel. Then I originally reserved 48 points at Boardwalk and 106 at Beach Club. But after thinking about it, we'd rather stay at Beach Club the whole time. They didn't have the room available for the 2 days we were looking for, so I decided to change the 2 days of BWV to OKW, which is less than 48 points. Meaning, I'd be "refunded" 26 points. The lady at member services stated that the 26 points will be returned to me as banked points. Is this true? Even though 195 and 106 will be way over the 240 I banked, will any returned points automatically go back to the banked points? If that is so, I'd have to use or lose 26 points by June of 2006, is this correct? Should I just keep the BWV at my original 48 points? I'm so confused. Hopefully, I didn't make everyone reading this as confused as I am. Thanks for any help you can give!

The problem may lie with the points used for the Disneyland reservation. I'm not sure, but if current year points were used for that reservation, you may not be able to reallocate (so that the banked points are all used up and the "free" points are current year).

Call MS back and ask them to "reallocate" your points. If it can't be done, ask for an explanation. Good luck!
