Hello,

DH and I are doing some research into DVC ownership and wondering if it is right for us. My question is, when you bank and borrow points from year to year, do you have to set that up in advance or do any unused points just roll over into the next year? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The points just do not roll over into the next year you must call and bank them or they will be lost. You can also borrow points from the next year if you wish.

It is up to you to bank your points within the deadlines, and if you don't, you run the risk of losing them. To bank all of your points in a given year, you just bank within the first 6 months of your use year.

There are also certain deadlines throughout the year for the amount of points that you can bank. During the last 60 days of your Use Year you can no longer bank any points. Once banked, they must be used by the end of the next Use Year. (Of course, you could then back that year's current points if necessary.)

When Banking and Borrowing it's important to treat it like a cash transaction. MS will give you Banking #s and these should be recorded for future reference.
