Banked Points.. used by

Just double checking to make sure I understand and I'm on the right page.

Just got my points from a resale. Some of the 2016 points were banked into 2017. My use year is September.

Do I have until Sept. 2018 or Dec. 2018 to use those banked points. I know I can't bank them again and they have to be used but wasn't sure if I could use them in October. Normally for an October stay I would bank the year before but since they are already banked I wasn't 100% sure.

I thought they just had to be used by Dec. 2018. Is that correct.

Sept 2016 points are good from Sept 1, 2016 until Aug 31, 2017. If they were banked into 2017, they are now good from Sept 1, 2017 until Aug 31, 2018.

If they were banked into the Sept 2017 UY, they have to be used for a reservation with a check out on or before 9/1/2018.

Banking moves your points one UY forward, borrowing moves points one UY back. They can only be moved once and they expire in the new UY just like the other points in that UY.

The calendar year will have nothing to do with your UY now. Essentially Sept 1-Aug 31st of the following year is your new "calendar" for DVC.
