Banked Points Question

I was hoping an expert can help with this question

I have October use year

I banked Oct 22 into October 23

Question one: I assume they expire September of 24?

Question two: if I use the banked point to book a trip say June of 23 (so borrowing the banked points to book) and have to cancel. Do they still expire September of 24?

Q1- Yes, They will expire last day of Sept 2024.

Q2- those points you banked can only be used for trips between Oct 1, 2023 and Sept 30, 2024.
You could borrow your points that exist for the Oct 2023 use year to use June 2023, but if you do not go on that trip those points can only stay in that year. You cannot move twice.

Didn’t realize that. Actually was going to rent them and didn’t realize I couldn’t pull them back forward. I shouldn’t have banked them I guess.

Yeah points can only be moved once.

Yeup. Banking and borrowing isn't something that should be done lightly. It's a one time move. Unless you KNOW for certain you're not going to use those points during the current UY I wouldn't recommend banking until the final month before the banking deadline just because at that point you should know if you're going to use them or not. Same thing goes for transfers.
