Banked points question

Hello,

I banked some 2007 points into 2008, oct use year. I already have a dec reservation for akl with my 2008 points.

If I call MS can they switch the 2008 points to the 2007 points, or is this considered a new reservation, where I would be back on a waiting list for dec.

What is your home resort and when did you originally make the reservation?

That depends on your home resort. If you booked your home resort and the banked points are home resort, yes, you should be able to call and reallocate the points to use the banked points. If they are from two different resorts, then I don't think you can do that because of the 7 month window.

My home resort is AKV and those are the only points i have.
So the banked points are AKV points.

So, should i be able to re-allocate the points?

Yes, they can do it. I booked my home resort for next March and then decided to bank the rest of my 2007 points (I have a Dec. UY). I didn't even have to call and the banked points were re-assigned automatically. I would never count on them doing it though and would call anyway. Check the member website to make sure it gets done.
