Banked Points Allocation from Resale

I'm new here so this has probably been asked and answered to death already but I tried different combinations in the search function but couldn't find a good answer.

I have an existing reservation in October and have just started the process on a resale contract with 2021 points banked to 2022 (Sept UY). If the contract gets through ROFR and closes can I then get the points reallocated to use the banked points first?

Most of the reservation was paid with my own banked points but I would like to use some of the points from the new contract instead of my 2022 allocation.

If this contract is going in the same membership as what you own, then the banked points can be used, assuming they are the same resort if you made the reservation during the home resort period.

If the resale points are from a different resort, then they can only be swapped into your current reservation if you made it 7 months or less from check in and of course, resale points can't be used for RIV reservations at all, unless they are RIV resale points.

It will not happen automatically either. You will have to go in an modify it and make sure both contracts are checked so it takes banked points from each.

Yes, same membership and resort. I bought enough BLT direct to get a blue card, if that means much going forward, with the incentives earlier this year and just stumbled on a loaded resale to round out the points total I wanted.

Maybe this'll go smooth and I'll just need to make another trip to finish using the banked points.
