bank/borrow question

confusion as usual on my part..here goes, I make a reservation in Feb. for a Jan. 2005 trip using my 2004 use year points (use year 2/1/04-1/31/05) and my "borrowed 2005 use year points"--then at 7 months I want to change this to a reservation requiring less points....the end result is that I would end up with left over points..my thought is that if those left over points are 2004 use year points then I am SOL (because my trip is in January 2004....I would have no time to use the 2004 points..) BUT if I am able to arrange the first part of trip on "borrowed points," then make sure my whole trip ends up on borrowed points at 7 months can I then bank my 2004 points????
In essence:

150 2004 points
150 2005 points
Reservation at 11months uses all 300 points....go back at 7 months and I am able to change this to a reservation only requiring 150 points.....CAN I make sure MS uses the borrowed points to cover this and there fore I am still in my window to bank the 2004 points....

As I said confusion..the actual trip I am trying to plan is for January 2005......thanks!

You can make sure DVC uses the borrowed points first then bank the 2004 points. You'll still be within you're 100% banking window. Always tell them and don't just assume they'll do it correctly.

Just FYI. If you make a mistake and don't discover it until after the post has been made, you can still correct it by just clicking the EDIT button at the bottom of the post.
