We're driving down to Bangor and flying to Florida from there in February. We want to spend the night there and need to park for 2 weeks. We are looking for suggestions on how to do this. We would like to spend as little money as possible but not stay in a dive. What are my possibilities?

You can park at the airport ...

No issue there .... The Daily Lot also has a weekly rate of $42.00. Just follow the signs for the daily parking lot off Godfrey Boulevard.

Hotel:

Not sure how many people are in your party but I stayed at the Four Point Sheraton, Bangor http://www.fourpointsbangorairport.com/

This hotel is about 50 feet from the airport and you could book a room through them for under $120US a night ... I have booked this hotel through Priceline for $US60 .. but there is no certainty that if you used Priceline you would get this. For $120 US this is a good option.

From 4 points website

Park Here, Fly There - Up to 2 Weeks of Free Parking
* Rates from $149 per night
* Fourteen days free parking

Thanks for the suggestion. I would pay $150 for park & stay but I'm wondering if anyone knows of any better deals before we book. I don't think it would be worthwhile to park at the airport when we need a room anyway.

We have used the four Points for park and fly a few times. It has always been in the summer and the price is always around $200 US. It is very convenient and the hotel has just completed some major renovations.

We have also stayed at the Hampton Inn for shopping trips to Bangor. They do offer a park and fly but you need to use their shuttle.

I certainly don't mind using a shuttle. Does anyone know the price of park & fly at some of the non-Four Points hotel?

The area hotels all offer the park & fly option I think ie: Days Inn, Super 8 , Econ Lodge etc. They are all within 5 mins of the airport. We have used the Super 8 & Days Inn in the past so I guess it depends what kind of hotel you are looking for...Days Inn is getting a little run down if you ask me. I would just call them & see what they all offer. The ones within 5 mins are:

Days Inn
Super 8
Howard Johnsons
Ramada
Super 8
Econ Lodge
Fairfield Inn
Holiday Inn

This list is very helpful since I had no idea what was around the airport. I will definitely do some searching on prices at each.

I'll also keep in mind your comments about the Days Inn. I don't want to stay anywhere that's run down. Has anyone stayed at any of the others?

I would avoid the Super 8 as well. I think it is the original Super 8.
