How many of you are in the band, or the flag corps? Or both?

I'm in both; flags during the marching season, clarinet during the concert season.

How did you all come to be in band?

I was - quite literally - dragged across the high school gym floor on freshman night by my best friend. She signed us both up, and I fell in love with it. Then our band instructor was looking for clarinet players, so we signed up for that. I had planned on playing the flute instead the next year, but I figured I might as well sign up now! I love it.

I'm in band because I needed an elective.

I play Alto Sax, and I have for about two years.

Yup..i'm on band and i play the clarinet...i am not a band geek..i am popular and normal on a regular data base....i might look preppy in public....but me and my friends act ******** in public and can still look cool and awesome at the same time..thats are motto!!!lol

I've been in band for 4 years. This is my 5th.
This year I'm in Concert band, which is basically for 10th graders. I play trombone.
This year was my first year of marching band, and i loveddd it!​

I did colorguard all throughout high school, co-captain of the flag line my junior and senior years.
I miss it SO much now though... Gettysburg does has a guard, but I'm wayyy too busy to add that activity. And it will be entirely different than my high school, and I really liked being in guard in high school.

all my band teachers have said that i'm the best they've ever seen. yeah right.

I"m quitting next year. i hate my band teacher. he's so annoying and perfectionist.

Aw. I'm sorry to hear that some of you guys have bad band directors :[
I love my band directors to death, they're amazing.

But, I can understand how some teachers can ruin the subject for you.
I hate my choir director, she's.... ugh...

I like my band director this year.

I was always really scared to go to lessons, because I hate playing in front of like 1 or 2 people, but my director this year is nice and doesn't make a big deal out of it.

And he's like super sarcastic which is always really funny.
