Everyone in my scholl thinks that this it really dorky, except for my fellow band ppl, i got picked for the Honors band!!!! What that basically means is that i get to go with two of my best friends and play clarinet all day before a concert that night!!! Clarinet all day with my best friends, this is gonna be awesome!!!

hello all! i play the clarinet, and my friends always make fun of me cuz im in the band....we were supposed to go to disney this year but we couldnt because our school already ahd an england and jamaica trip going on...


we dont have a marching badn (were just kinda a 800 about high school)

Wow--- I guess i better join this board.... When people say Band, they usually think "Eva" (thats me)
I play saxophone and i am the ONLY girl saxophone player. the guys try and get on my nerves all the time cause i am... the only girl... but fortunaly they only bother me in band...
I am in pit band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Wind Ensamble, Section leader/representitive of marching band, concert band ect.........
We just went to six flags with the marching band, and it was ok...... The cool part was we went, played for 20 min than had the rest of the day to go around with our friends.
thats all.....

had state saturday. We got 7th. That's good considering we haven't been in 12 years. All the people in class B that got to watch us(we went on first) said we were on fire. We're all proud yet sad marching season is over.

well we jus had the biggest football game there is this past friday.. it was the cross-town rival Civil War game (north vs south) and there was like 8000 ppl there.. but it wasnt at our home field, so when we did the pregame show, we got booed, cursed at, and had water bottles thrown at us... it was reallly bad... and their band wasnt anything good either.. so pretty much our show sucked.. but the game was good.. we won!! our football team is still undefeated!! woohoo.. More home football games! yes!

I didn't know so many people liked band!!! my band goes on a trip to a different place in the country every other year. I'm a freshman so i'll go next year. I play first trumpet, and my band teacher is a lot of fun. She was just voted "best music teacher in the state of mass. We just played in the state parade! it was so fun!!!

Hi everyone.... we just had our chapters and our band got third.... i didnt think that we were going to be able to go to ACC's this weekend but WE ARE! we are placed 22 in TOB but since 2 bands arnt going to ACC's we are now 20th.

ACC's are the Atlantic Coast Championships. It is to see who is the best band in your group (that depends on how many people are in your band) It is saturday and sunday. I cant wait. last year we went from 26th place to 11th place. that was amazing!

wanna hear something depressing?
at our homecoming game, we were asked to perform at the halftime show. We accepted, although the whole school makes fun of the marching band an boos us (this is OUR school, not our rivals) when we were waiting for our drum major to call us to attention, 2 students (2 popular, senior boys) who were dressed up as a bunny and a gorilla, ran onto the field and started throwing bannanas at us. It was so embarissing cause lots of us got hit with moldy, rotten bannanas and all the crowd who were students startted hitting there chests and making gorilla sounds...

that is AWFUL! in our school, we perform at every football halftime, home or away. No one boos us (well, unless we r playin our rivals, lol) and people respect us. They dont neccesarily watch us but they respect us. And in my school, being in band/guard, u arent considered total losers. The senior class president is captain of our guy's rifle squad. And hopefully my class's president will be in band/guard too (a majority of the ppl running are)

i in band too!!!we've been done with regular marching for a couple weeks. But we march in the Christmas parade on November 25th, in town. oooo, and we just started selling fruit to raise money for our trip of WDW in April!!!!!!

This is my last full week of practice after school. I am happy. Do any of you have a senior night? and what is it like? ours is friday. we have a dinner before the game that our parents make for us and we are reconized at the game.


Also we arnt booed at our game. Some people watch us but for the most part no one cares at our school. The show isnt bad at all. And we arnt losers because we are in band.... we are just like everyone else... Just everyone says our band is a colt.

Our school does have a senior night or day.. Its always the last home game, it was last saturday afternoon. At every show, we get into an 'N' and play our school song, anchors aweigh. But at the senior game, the seniors make the N and then they are annouced and their parents come out onto the field. Then they play anchors. And they always have a senior breakfast b4 the Thanksgiving game.

I am SOO happy our football team is good, so that means MORE GAMES! We are undefeated right now, and if we get to the state championships, we might get to play at GIANTS STADIUM! I kno there are band comps there, but since my band doesnt compete that much, we woulndt get to perform there. I'm jus hoping that we make it that far!

And i can not WAIT for indoor guard! It's so much fun!
