Band Aid Blister Block Supply Issue

Hi All. I am so frustrated! Just spoke with a rep at Band Aid Co and they have informed me that they have a "supply issue" regarding the Blister Block stick. Cannot find it anywhere online, or on any shelf in any drugstore. Looked in all the stores before leaving MA and have now scoured the drug stores and other stores here in KY. Tried to order online last week. Found one location that had it listed as in stock then got an email a couple days ago apologizing that they do not have it in stock and they had to cancel my order!! The rep at Band Aid told me that it is not being discontinued. There is no info on that. He told me that their is a special notation to reps regarding this product as a supply issue. He told me that it may be just that the company cannot access a particular ingredient in the product and therefore cannot manufacture/produce it at this time but that was just a guess on his part. Anyone out there who may have a way for me to get this please PM me or respond to this post and let me know. I am now preparing for caring for blisters although I did find the Body Glide anti-chafing stick and will try that as a preventative. If any of you have other products that work for blister prevention please let me know. Thanks in advance. If you love this product call the company. Maybe if we get enough people calling and looking for this product they can speed up production or something.

Use regular stick deoderant. That is what my entire family used on our Aug. trip this past year. Not only did it help prevent blisters, but it also kept our feet from sweating. BTW - we all wore crocs. Good luck and have fun on your trip!

Buy Body Glide - It does the same thing. We just returned from Universal (a week in Aug.) and no problems. Dick's sporting goods sells it.

I have both Bodyglide and Blister Block and much prefer the Bodyglide. It goes on better/easier and IMHO works better.

Thank you for your responses. I have the Body Glide and I am so glad to hear that it worked for you. I had not thought of trying regular deodorant stick! What a great idea. I will try both to determine which works best.

So glad that you posted this. I have been going crazy looking for this stuff. I have checked at least a dozen stores, and was not able to find it anywhere. I'm leaving for my trip soon, looks like I'm going to have to go for Plan B.

I found a great blister preventer. I have used moleskin in the past, but found it a little bulky and hard to use - it doesn't bend around my feet/toes as much as I'd like.

Dr. Scholls make blister-blocking adhesive pads. I can't remember the name of them, but it's something like "blister blocker/treater". They come in a package of 10 or 12. Used them when breaking in some new leather sandals this summer, and they were great! The cool thing is, they last for a few days; they have band-aid type adhesive and stay on through showers, etc. Give 'em a try - sorry I can't remember the name!

I'm a Blister Block fan as well. Check out the Dr. Scholl's foot care area at Walmart or a pharmacy. I know I've seen 1 or 2 other brands of these.

I noticed that Band-Aid Blister Block Stick actually changed their name to Band-Aid Friction Block Stick, but I tried and it is the same product. I've seen it in a few drugstores and I think it is so much better than the competing brands. I really can't live without it- especially for breaking in spring shoes!!!

I am also a fan of Bodyglide. I have tried blisterblock also. I perfer Blisterblock.

Ok, really stupid question coming right up...

How do you use the Bodyglide? Do you just rub it on the back of your heels where blisters usually pop up or do you use it on your entire foot?

I have a big problem with blisters. I get blisters on the bottom of my feet. For that reason I rub it all over my feet.

i have the same problem with blisters on the bottoms of my feet, the bottom heel to be exact and it hurts real bad to walk with them. no matter what shoe i wear, i always end up with them and i've used bodyglide and others and it does nothing to stop them from forming..

I think I would give up looking for the Band-Aid Blister Block if I were you. I looked for it for awhile before our December 2008 trip and it was already off the shelves (at least around here) and I have not seen it since. Sounds to me like their "supply" issue has been going on for over 5 months. I used Body Glide instead-no blisters (and I blister easily). I put it all over my feet, because I can get a blister anywhere depending on where my shoe rubs on any given day.

I found Band-Aid Friction Block on drugstore.com. It looks to be the same thing I have the Band Aid Blister Block, looks the same as this packaging.

I found Band-Aid Friction Block Stick at target also last week. On another thread I saw where they suggested Monistat Chaffing gel to prevent blisters. Trying it know while I break in a new pair of shoes.
