Bananaboating on Castaway Cay?

We'll be at Castaway Cay on Dec. 30. Do you think it will be too cold to banana boat? I'd hate to have it reserved then have my kids tell me it's too cold. Can you do banana boat without reserving? TIA

Humbug.......we were there on the 10/18 cruise. We had no trouble going on the banana boats without ressies. They had plenty of open slots then. Not sure about the water temp.

Just don't wear your glasses.......... if you find a pair on the bottom of the ocean, they probably belong to Andy (aka VerandahMan).

We also had no problem going without resservations on the 10/11 cruise. Actually we had reservations for the 10:30 trip but DH and DS8 wanted to do it again and had no problems getting a spot. There was plenty of availability.

It was extremely hot last Friday. I don't think you will have any problem with temperature. Bring goggles with you. Water will be spraying in your face and if you want to keep your eyes open you will need goggles.

My husband and daughter rode the bannana boat earlier this week. They had a good time, but here are his comments:

1. Wear eye protection. He had sunglasses and his eyes stung a bit -- plus he worried about losing them. My daughter had goggles, and she was in great shape.

2. My daughter is only 8, and he said it was a bit rough for her. He put her in front of him and held onto her, and he said that detracted from his enjoyment somewhat.
