Someone was telling me about this wonderful concoction somewhere at the Poly, Banana Stuffed French Toast. Where can I find this? Is it at the Kona Cafe? I've never been to the Poly, it's my first trip there starting Saturday, and I think I'm going to FIND this place on our first morning.... Thanks in advance for the guidance... ;)

It is at Kona's in the Polynesian and it is a treat! It is my favorite for breakfast. I have reservations in August and I can't wait.

Enjoy your trip!

You can also order it through room service. We like to do so on our last morning at the Polynesian. We love Kona, too, and usually eat there at least twice each trip to WDW. Enjoy your trip to the Polynesian and congratulations!

I'd like to just say a giant YUM to that. :) Thanks, I knew I'd get quick help. You guys are awesome.

I'm drooling..........

I just checked.... yup, I'm still drooling. :)

Trip can't come FAST enough ,I tell you!! I was checking out the menu for the Kona cafe on the WDWIG board yesterday - the lunch and dinner menus also sound awesome. In all my trips to WDW, I'm KICKING myself that I've never gone there before!!

My Wife ordered this on our last trip and she fell in love with it. She has informed me that we will be eating here again on all our trips in the future so she can get more Tonga Toast.

I believe you can get banana stuffed french toast at the CBR food court and the sit down restaurant at POR. Mind you, I could be wrong, or it may be a little different. I am pretty sure I saw it on the menus there though.

FYI -

Deb Wills now has the recipe for Tonga Toast on her website!

see http://www.wdwig.com/rec_tt.htm

I actually don't like Tonga Toast (fried with that much cinnamon sugar does me in). My fave is the banana Pecan Pancakes - but I know I'm in the minority on that one!

Kona Cafe and Tonga Toast is indeed AWESOME!!!

We ate there every morning of our 4 days this past winter... kept wanting to go somewhere else, but just couldn't drag ourselves away.

I tried several of their other offerings, including their eggs benedict and omelette, and they were wonderful, as well.

Their home fries are more like crisp oven fries with just the right seasoning.

BTW, RFC also offers a breakfast item called Tonga Toast, and while it is a very good french toast item with walnuts and bananas on top, it is not the same stuffed recipe as offered at Kona.

Have a wonderful trip - I'm envious!

OMG. The Recipe is available to the general public. i love it.

I'll try making it after the trip, when I need a fix. ;)

Thanks everyone, I still can't wait.... i'm drooling all over my keyboard.
