Ban warning received while not even on game. Any tips?

This morning at 9:54am VMK Time I played my song in the music room.

I then signed off VMK and left for the vet.

When I signed back in this afternoon, I found this message in my inbox, received 22 minutes AFTER I played my mix and left VMK.

I understand there are "generic warnings," for the room, but this message appeared in my inbox and has me concerned due to its wording.

This is the second time I have received a warning in my inbox for something that has happened when I was not present. The last time was on my other character when I was afk.

Obviously I am VERY concerned about what is on my "record" and that i can somehow can banned do to things that others have said, or that I am somehow being "tagged" as the violator by mistake.

I have left repeated messages at Disney and now have spoken with 4 different people (none are "'part of the VMK team") in an attempt to speak with anyone who can "clear" my record for warning that I have received when I am not even signed on.

I have received NO return phone calls. I am at the point where I am fearful to even BE in a public room with the way some of these scenarios have played out. Fun, huh?

Wondering if calling Disney every hour on the hour needs to become a new hobby until I get some responses. sigh

Anyone know anything further I can do?

That's messed up Sorry I have no answers, but wanted to say that two days ago my daughter was on her character and standing on Main Street with others from here. She then left to go into the host room to get the bat bag. She returned to Main Street and as soon as she entered she got a pop up message similiar to this, but said a repeat violation would result in a 24 hour ban. The others she was walking over to started commenting they just received it and were saying they had no idea who was saying something there but that it was not cool. We have no idea what was said, only the room was warned and my daughter left as she was worried to get another warning. So I totally understand what you mean about being worried about being out in a public room when you can get "blamed" for something others have said or done. I don't like that they send the warning to the entire room like this, she personally was not in the room at the time, and the others we know said they were not talking about anything personal or giving out info. They were talking about the host room and halloween.

Anyway, I know that has nothing to do with your warning, sorry. I hope they get back to you and let you know what's up with this, before you end up with a ban that is not your fault at all. Can I ask, did you go back to your room to log out or were you out in publc and logged out? I know some of us log out and are still standing there 10-15 minutes later, and although that still would not be your fault, then you could assume something went on in that room after you had logged off.

I have to say, that message seems to contradict itself a bit.

"A repeat violation of this will get you banned." Dun Dun Dun. " Thanks for helping us keep VMK safe!" Talk about your mood swings...

I'm not sure how you got that message when you weren't on the game, but I know for sure that it isn't a ban warning. I have gotten this message twice when I was just in the same room as someone who mentioned an outside site, they send it to everyone present when a report is sent for that.

Thanks all for the support.

I signed off in the Music Room right after playing my song. I had to run to the vet in a giant hurry. Clicked the "X," clicked "yes" saw vmk screen close out and ran.

My guess? My character hung around and something happened in the music room while I was gone.

Trying not to freak, but really don't want to get banned for doing nothing wrong. Sorry, but, that's messed up.

28 messages, haha! Nice catch! I just looked at my mail in game and that's a funny little bug I guess. I have 28 friend requests.

Now just trying to get in touch with the "vmk team." Yeah, I know, good luck. Until then, I'll be hiding in my private rooms. Something isn't right when we are scared to have fun.

From what I understand, warnings don't count against you. They aren't saved on your character. The only things that count against you are bans. I've received many warnings in the game for the infractions of someone else in the room. I've almost gotten used to them. LOL

Jegrezo, that sounds like it was a ROOM WARNING - given to all those present in the room at the time. When you "signed out", I am willing to bet your "ghost" remained behind in the music lobby where some kids were discussing having a myspace page, and boom, everyone in that room gets the pop up warning, along with an individual message in their inbox.

I've gotten them before. It's scary, and I know a lot of people freak out about them, but it means nothing. Everyone in the room automatically gets one. If you were not part of the conversation that was against VMK values, you have absolutely nothing to worry about!! Just delete and carry on having fun in the kingdom.

I certainly wouldn't be calling VMK about it, but I guess that's your choice...

I get that same message about once a week. I rarely ever say anything in a public room, unless I'm with friends from DIS or talking to a host. I've written and called about it and the last time I wrote to the black hole, I got a threatening note back saying if I didn't stop bugging them about it, I would get banned. Needless to say, I haven't written in anymore.

Something the "share with the class" from my experience:
The thing that had me most concerned was the message that I received in my inbox, not the onscreen warning (which I know is an all-room warning). In case anyone besides me does not know this: The on-screen message that in an all-room warning also now is delivered to your in-game messages as part of the general warning system.

Apparently, had I been "the rule violator," I would have been banned on 1st offense, not just received a warning.

In the event that the CM who assisted me reads this, which I have NO CLUE if s/he will, thank you for everything. I enjoyed our interaction and appreciate your assurance that Little Jegrezo is safe to wander about in funville.
