My thoughts are with the Blink family. I know BAMB's DH and the kids are going to take this hard, and that in turn will be hard for Buffy.

i like the gift card thing as well. should we all send our $ to one person? i would also love the idea of everyone sending them a sympathy card. homemade or not just send a card. i'm sure they would love knowing that we all support them in this most difficult time.

One charity would be the American Heart Association. Also everyone please remember Feb 6th is Go Red For Women day. Every women is to wear red that day to shine a BIG OL' RED LIGHT on heart dicease. Here's the sight...something I truly stand by unfortunatly. http://www.goredforwomen.org/
I was what was called back in the late 60's a blue baby. I was blue when I was born. Apparently my heart operates backwards. My vessels are somehow switched. So the smaller weaker side of my heart pumps to my entire body while the larger stronger side guys to my lungs...instead of the other way around. Medical term....transposition of the great vessels. I had open heart surgery before I turned two. The doctors told my parents I wouldn't live past 5 and if by some weird chance I did I would NEVER have kids. Well I am here to say very loudly that I am going to be 40 this summer and have 2 GREAT boys. Granted I am done, cardiologist says so. I celebrated my 3rd birthday on January 20th, that was when I became battery powered. I know have a pacemaker.
Ok sorry for babbling, but moral of the story is enjoy everyday which I am sure BAMB MIL did.
So in response if anyone is looking for a charity I would say the go red for women cause. But the gift card to a rest or maybe even a grocery store would be a nice idea too.
