My family is planning a reunion trip to WDW in the next 18-24 months. We have 10 adults and 8 children who will be between ages 2 and 10 at the time we go.

If we're planning on being in WDW for 7-8 days with a Park Hopper Plus pass (with water parks), does anyone have experience with a group like this that can give us a "ballpark budget" so we know about what to plan for?

If anyone has experience with a group of this size and would be willing to share information about your trip and areas I can go to research trip ideas for groups to WDW, I'd really appreciate the help.

Thank you!

we are going 3/3-3/10.It will be 16 of us the cheapest for us was to rent a 6 bedroom house it has 3 master bedrooms,3 reg bedrooms,3 full baths,Living room, familyroom, pool and hot tub. Each familys share is 265.00 for the wk.If you all want to be together renting a house is the best way.

Thanks for the reply. I was really surprised at how reasonable a lot of the houses are, so I think we'll consider going that route.

I figure that we could get a house for a week to fit 16-18 people (8 of those are small children) for around $1,500. We'd need several rental cars for that week to move the people around, though, so that would add something like $1,000 to $1,500 for the week (depending on the rates we could get). So, if you dump the costs of the rental car (which wouldn't be required if we stayed in a Disney Resort hotel), then it makes the costs of the lodging/transportation a little closer, but I think the house still wins out.

If we picked up the 7-day Park Hopper Plus passes (with water parks), then I think we could get the 18 people into the park for around $4,500 (based on current rates quoted on DisneyWorld.com).

So, ignoring the cost of getting to Orlando, I'm thinking we'd be in for a minimum of $7,500 to $8,500. Add sourvenirs, food (grocery store food to stock rental home and some dining at parks), gas, and some miscellaneous expenses...and I figure we'd be able to spend 7-9 days in Orlando for under $10,000 total. (Obviously, getting there isn't a trivial expense, so we might wind up spending $12,000 to $14,000.) -- When you consider that this covers 5 families and 18 people total, then it's not too expensive.

Does anyone have any idea how realistic my "ballpark" calculations are? (I appreciate the information the previous poster included, which is helpful, but I'd also like to get some feedback from someone who's been there with a group of our size.)

Thank you!
