Balloons in Hotel Rooms

Has anyone here put up balloons as decorations for a celebration in your room? I’m wondering what you have done for disposing of them when you check out. We will obviously bag them up and take them off the wall, but normally I would pop them if I were home. But we don’t want to cause concern of gun shots or startle anyone. Would you bag them up un-popped or just call the front desk first to let them know?

Bring a pair of scissors and cut a small slit near the knot end of the balloon. They shouldn't pop but will deflate.

Take them down to the lobby and give them to a family which is checking in.
