Balloon Boy Hoax.

The T.V.'s in my classroom have been playing this story from the beginning! ( I live in Colorado) so it was really weird to hear about something like that happening so close to where we live!

The child was found hiding in an attic, but now apparently the parents are in trouble for leaving him unattended.

The parents need to get in trouble for this. Why the hell did they have a hot air balloon where children could easily climb into it? -_-

Well he was found in his house and was just hiding. Apparently the family was on Wife Swap like last year. During an interview, the interviewer person asked if he heard his parents yell for him. He said he did and when asked why he didn't respond he said he did it for the show. Don't really know what that's supposed to mean but that shows something with the family might be wrong.

The "annoucement" was the guy putting a box out on his lawn so he could get questions to answer.

He said it was a big announcement just to get the attention while he did it..

I suspected it was a hoax since the beginning.
The story seemed to be pretty far fetched. A six year old boy hides in a balloon, the balloon randomly 'escapes', and this ballon thing (although it was abnormally large) supposedly had the capability of carrying him 50+ miles. And then in the end he just happens to be hiding in the garage? I don't think so..

People will do nearly anything to get their 15 minutes of fame I guess.
