It was incredibly disappointing this weekend. After dragging my sweet DH to the mall to go to Journeys in order to try on (and purchase) some of the ballet crocs, I was heartbroken that they didn't fit! I've successfully worn many styles (beach, cayman, athens, nile, scutes, mary jane [oh so cute! :goodvibes ]) and so I thought that this would be the same kind of deal... unfortunately, when I started to walk around in the store, they flipped off all the way to the ball of my foot- not the security that I'm used to with ANY of the other crocs.

I read a few reviews on Journeys.com- apparently others are having this problem... but then there are some people who are lucky enough to have them fit right. I'm thinking it might be a foot-width issue. My feet are wider (I can still wear "normal" shoes though... don't always have to get "wide"), but if you have narrow feet, these might be the crocs for you!

Hopefully many people can partake in these adorable shoes... I just wish that I could be one of them! :sad2:

I bought mine yesterday. I wear anywhere from a 9 to 10 and my foot is narrow. I bought a size 10 in the ballet style. I wore them in the house for an hour. They just kept coming off. And they making this awful farting noise when I walk. I'm going to try a size 9 and hope they work. The shoes are so cute. ANyone try the Maryjanes?

Do you actually find crocs comfortable? My family other than myself have them and all hate wearing them among other issues they find them not comfortable and also they say they are very very hot and make their feet sweat terribly they hate the slimy feeling they get wearing them. So after spending over 150 bucks on 4 pairs of these god awfull ugly sheos no one will wear them now LOL. I am glad I don't have to live with this fashion faux pas LOL.

I actually do agree. not to burst the bubble, maybe its my feet! they just look like clown shoes to me. I mean in 20 years were gonna look back at the pictures and say what were we thinking. kind of like mc hammer pants! (you know the puffy ones!)

I got the Mary Janes this weekend and I love them!! I have several different styles of the Crocs and these are by far my favorite. They are not as big and goofy as some of the others either. :thumbsup2

I have the Mary Janes as well. Being that I'm a teacher and have a room upstairs in the back of a very large school, I do TONS of walking around all day. I'm so happy to have found "dressier" crocs- I couldn't wear my beach crocs w/ dress pants! I'm planning on getting some themed jibbitz too- I can get away with cute stuff w/ my kindergarteners and first graders :goodvibes

As far as for whether I think they're comfortable or not: I've found that any crocs that are on my feet are super comfortable. Being pooh-sized, some shoes seem to cause shin pain after walking long distances... not my crocs though! I HATE :furious: tennis shoes and sneakers :furious: . I don't like my feet feeling so "trapped"... and I can't stand them feeling humid. When I first got crocs, I felt like my feet would get sweaty or hot/humid... however, I've been tickled to pieces because  :cheer2: my feet haven't gotten sweaty at all, and I've had TONS of outdoor walking in a building w/ no AC to learn! :cheer2:

I'll admit that the beaches, caymans, islanders, (and the boat shoes... can't remember what they're called) aren't the most attractive shoes in the world, but you know... I'll take comfort over aesthetic appearance any day!

I love my croccies!

LOL hmm I guess differnt feet different results but everyone keep buying those crocs it helps support the Canadian economy they are manufactured up here afterall LOL.

I got my first pair of Athens yesterday. I can't believe how comfortable they are. I told DH I just want to keep walking around because they feel so good.

I also have beach and whatever the old style closed ones are called. I always thought they were comfortable but the Athens are even more so. I would really like to try the scutes but haven't found them anywhere yet.

What are the Maryjane's like? They aren't on the crocs website.

You can find the MaryJanes on Journeys' website... www.journeys.com

I've found the scutes @ Dicks' Sporting Goods store, as well as Dillards. I'm more fond of the nile sandal, but I did like the scutes when I tried them on! :)

I, too, had a disappointing Prima experience today. I have been coveting this style since I first saw it on the website, but like to try on shoes before purchasing. Finally, I discovered a local retailer who stocked them. I rushed over at opening time today & bought a pair. When I tried them in the store, they did flop a bit, but I thought that perhaps if I used the dryer trick to mold them to my feet, it would be OK. So, I came home, popped them into the dryer for 5 mins, then wore them about 10 mins, but no change. The flopping itself is not nearly as bothersome as the "*art" noise made with each step. (please excuse the graphic reference to the sound). They will be going back to the store & I will be pouting......

Lets have a pity party for those of us who cannot wear the Primas... :grouphug:

im a HUGE croc fan too! i first read about the "mary jane" crocs on the boards and rushed to get them in pink. the lady at journeys said "how did you know about them...i didnt even unpack our shipment yet!?" i just smiled! anyway, i normally wear a ladies 8-9 in the beach/cayman style. but when i tried on the 9 in these my toe kept touching the top- unlike my other numerous pairs. and i had also just read (on the boards) that crocs should never rub, etc. so i bought the 10 to be safe. but once i was at home and began walking around in them, they felt like clown shoes and floppy. i was so upset! so i searched the boards AGAIN and found the info on how to shrink/reshape them in the dryer. it worked!!!!! now they fit perfect (not as "loose" as my others but thats because these are cut more narrow) they are still wide enough for my chubby feet, but now they dont flop (or fart!) a word to the wise though, it does not take long for these things to heat up and shrink in the dryer----in fact i put another pair in the dryer for 5 min like suggested and when i pulled them out they acutally had shriveled up almost 1 1/2 inches and my heel hung over the edge!!!! thankfully i was able to reheat them and stretch them back to size! heres how i did it:
push straps forward
throw in dryer for a few minutes (just keep checking and when theyre really warm to touch, theyre ready to reshape)
slide your foot in and wear them (with strap forward) for a few min.
now put the strap down (might have to tug on it to make it fit) and continue to wear around to give them a chance to mold to your foot again
one last thing (sorry ive rambled but i often search for advice so when i can offer some tips to others, i do) anyway, if your crocs are too tight against the top of your foot, i put on thick socks to wear with them after i heated them!
hope this helps!
