I shaved my head tonight for St. Baldrick's, and am looking for advice on bald head care. I did it four years ago, but don't really remember much about it. What I found on Google was geared towards men- particularly those that are keeping it bald.
When they were shaving it, I noticed that my scalp was really dry and flaky. The barber mentioned getting some silk oil. It will be awhile before I can get to a salon, so I picked up some tea tree oil at Wal Mart since it said it was for dry scalps. Will this work? Is there another brand or product that will help?
How do you normally care for your bald head? We used clippers, not razors, so there is just the tiniest bit of fuzz. I can't remember from last time at what point I started using shampoo or if it was from the get go.
Also- does anybody have any tips for wig care? I have to wear one for my theme park job. It will be pretty hot this summer and I'm worried about it getting too nasty. It's synthetic and not an expensive one, so I'm worried about it holding up to the abuse it will probably be put through at the park.
Thanks!
