Balconies

We have a 2 br suite at BLT booked for our upcoming trip and I was wondering what the doors to the balcony are like? Obviously I supervise my children and they know not to play or climb on the balcony by themselves, but I'm not trying to test my 3 year old in the middle of the night on the 10th floor (hypothetically). How secure are the sliding doors at Disney? Thanks!

I can't speak for all doors, but I feel like many of the sliding balcony doors we've had over the years were heavy and hard to open. They also lock - and I seem to always struggle to unlock them, let alone our little ones.

Our sliding door at Poly had a top lock that my 3 year old couldn't reach. Which was good, because he figured out the lock at handle level on about 10 seconds!

The patio doors at SSR are sliders with latches st the top. DVC has villas, not suites, for clarification.
