Just curious if any of the standard rooms at WL have balconies. Also, we were thinking of trying to have 3 adults, 1 child and 1 infant stay in one room at WL. Do you think it's do-able or a crazy idea? We're not picky, we usually stay 2 adults, 1 child, 1 infant at an All Star resort and the small quarters don't really bother us all that much. But this time my mother in law is coming so it's either 2 rooms at the all stars or 1 room at the WL (the price is about the same). There would certainly be more "space" for all of us to move around at the All Stars but the thought of all the "deluxe" items at the WL (especially the boat to MK!) is very exciting! What do you think?
thanks! :goodvibes

If you do WL Deluxe... it sleeps 6! I guess it's also called jr suite. I wanted WL for our trip in December because I feel this is the best resort during the holiday, but unfortunately, it only sleeps 4 plus 1 child under 3. My parents are coming, my two children and I. So if I want to sleep here, I would have to go with the Deluxe room, but it's too much money for me.

It would be a tight fit at WL, but it's certainly do-able. I'd say go with WL if you're not planning on spending tons of time in the room. The breathtaking beauty of the resort and the convenience of the location would make it worth the tight space for me! If you're all in the room together and it gets a little close for comfort, a couple of you could go and relax in a cozy nook by a fireplace, sipping cocoa and/or playing a game. :goodvibes

And yes, the standard rooms do have balconies.

All the rooms at Wilderness Lodge have balconies or patio's if on the ground floor.

3 Adults, 1 child, and infant is doable it maybe a little tight. Go for the 1 room at the Lodge you will love it.

thanks for the replies, I was hoping you would say to just go for the (1) room at WL rather than the two at ASMo! We don't have a problem with the All Stars (actually for my kids, ages 2 and 4, the "obnoxiousness" of the resort is great for them. All the big characters and all) But this year we are going the week before school vacation (in MA at least) and I was afraid that the resort will be packed to the gills, and the foodcourt can be really unenjoyable when it's that busy. So that's why I started looking into one room at a deluxe, the room is bigger and it has a balcony. So if my mother in law wants to relax while she babysits (after the kids are in bed) she can at least go out and enjoy the view and not just be confined in the room.
Well it's in my mil's hands now, we told her it was up to her. So we'll keep our fingers crossed that she picks WL!
