Baked Mac-n-Cheese and??????

What's a good main course for baked mac-n-cheese? I know I'm fixing that but I have no idea what to put with it.

We usually make baked Mac-and-cheese as the main dish. I suppose you could do a fried chicken or maybe pork chops with it though?

Baked mac-n-cheese is a main dish here too. We usually pair it with something green - salad, green beans or broccoli.

Macaroni and cheese is never a main dish in our house, it's always a side.

I serve it with fried chicken, baked chicken, pork chops or ham. Add a green vegetable(collard greens or cabbage) and bread (99% time it's cornbread) and the meal is complete.

Now I'm hungry.

OP, I usually make baked Mac & Cheese as a main course, sometimes I add diced ham & peas in it to make it a well rounded dish. Of course, the kids just pick around the ham & peas so I don't know why I bother

We like it with those U shaped sausages--some varieties are called Polska Kielbaska? We just get the Beef or Lite variety and grill it or broil it and serve with Mac and Cheese and a veggie.

Darn. Now I am hungry.
