Bahamas in April - crowds??

who has been on the Bahamas cruise in April? I read on the internet that Alril has awesome weather but might be crowded with spring breakers. Has this been your experience? I have a 4-night Bahamas cruise on-hold for next April...departing on Sunday 4/16 (Easter day) to be exact. Should I expect high crowds due to the holiday week AND spring breakers?

Would you recommend looking at another time of the year? I'd like to not go during the hurricane season....

Yes, you should expect high crowds. We cruised in April 2015 and the ship was at full capacity. Same for our last cruise in december 2015. We did not think it was that bad. The weather was perfect and the seas were not rough in april. We booked for April 2017 as well.

We've cruised the Bahamas twice in April and once in October. The ship was at full capacity on both of the April sailings and we definitely noticed the increased crowds on castaway cay vs. the October sailing. The weather was beautiful and the seas calm. The only other difference we notices was the water temperature at castaway cay. It was a little brisk in April and much warmer in October.

All of the ships pretty much sail at full capacity every time so you are not going to experience a noticeable difference whenever you choose. The best you can do is pick classic vs dream based on the amount each boat holds.

classic as in wonder/magic vs dream (dream/fantasy)? sorry, i'm familiar with those terms. the 4/16 sailing that we have on-hold right now is on the wonder...and since this is our first cruise, i was looking to sail the wonder or magic due to the smaller capacity. i just found another one for 4/24 for significantly less $$, but it's on the dream.
