So not really disney related but has anyone ever eaten/had a private event at bahama brezze?! Is it any good? Would you have rehearsal dinner there? Wedding reception? Does anyone have any pictures please?! DF really likes the sound of it but being from UK we cant go see it before hand and I dont want to turn up and find its horrible, not suitable or near loads of traffic!!!
TIA!

I've been to all 3 Orlando area locations; they all have the same basic setup. There isn't really an area to have a private function, and the restaurant is usually very noisy. I've gone to dinner at Bahama Breeze with a group of 25+ people at the I-Drive location. We were seated at tables near each other; they pushed a few square tables together and we also had a large round table and a booth.

I think your group size and desired atmosphere will determine whether or not Bahama Breeze is right for your wedding. In general, it's very casual and noisy and very busy. Bahama Breeze is very popular and usually runs quite a long wait, especially on the weekends and all days during peak travel seasons. I don't have any pictures, but there are white-washed and dark woods, colorful seat cushions, wicker chairs, and servers wear Tommy Bahama-like Hawaiin shirts...think Carribbean! The outside patio usually has a live steel drum player and if he's not on-stage, then they play loud Carribbean/island-style music.

If you want loud, fun and casual, Bahama Breeze will work for a rehearsal dinner. If you're looking for something more intimate and romantic...this is NOT the place.

I've been there too and wasn't that impressed. I really liked the decor because there was dark wood everywhere but I don't remember the food being that good at all. I went once and we had to wait for a long time and then never were able to go back because the parking lot was packed and the line of cars was always out into the street.

That being said, if there was a private area it might be okay and if you were getting dropped off there by a cab or something you wouldn't have to worry about parking.

This is actually mine and my fiance's favorite restaurant! We love the atmosphere and the food is wonderful!

On the other hand I'm not sure about for a rehearsal dinner. They are always very crowded here in Clevelnd, Ohio. We usually have at least a half hour wait even during the week. Unless the ones in Florida are bigger and have a private area to rent I'm not sure if it's the best choice. I would check it out and at least have dinner there one night, regardless. The food and service is wonderful!

We are doing our rehearsal dinner here and while its personally not my favorite restaurant, their set up seems to be pretty good. There were 3 places for us to choose from for our dinner...we chose an outdoor patio area that will be just for us. There were also several different menu styles to choose from. We chose the one where there will be 2 different appetizers, three entrees to choose from, and 3 (I think) desserts to choose from. And then my DF picked some kind of bar thing too, but I don't remember what it was. It is going to be around 2000 for 40 people.

I really like the Bahama Breeze in my area. I've only been there 3 or 4 times and though I've had some slow service I really enjoy the ambiance... I feel like I'm on a tropical vacation when I go there, even in the middle of a Michigan winter, and the food has always been very good. I want to go there right now actually :lmao:

I don't know what the set up is like at the location you are considering but at the one near me they have a few different sections or enclosed patio type areas that seem like they could potentially be reserved for a private function and would be secluded from the rest of the restaurant, if the restaurant does that sort of thing which I don't know. If they do I would defiantly choose it/recommend it for a rehearsal dinner!

I love Bahama Breeze - actually just got a call from my fiance and found out we're going there tonight! I go to the one up here near me in PA. The food is really tasty. I saw on their website they have private party packages, so I would think for a rehearsal dinner they could work something out with you in terms of space/a private area. I would definitely consider it for my rehearsal dinner if I were getting married near one, but unfortunately I am not! If you like seafood and tropical flavors like mango, coconut, etc., then it's absolutely a great choice. They have other options too but that is really their specialty.

I took some pictures for you when I was there. Keep in mind that this is the Pennsylvania location, not the one in Orlando, but I imagine they're all very similar. Also my pictures uploaded pretty small and dark, so I'm not sure they're much use!

Here's the outside of part of it. This is a closed off section, I imagine it would be something like this where they would have a private party:

Here's a picture I took of the inside:

And here's one I found online, I think it gives you a pretty good idea of the set up of the main dining room and what it looks like:

The food is really so good though. I love their pasta dishes - I had a Salmon pasta with passion fruit sauce that was great, and I love the shrimp linguine. The catch of the day is always good (Tilapia, salmon, or mahi mahi) and you can get it almond crusted, with mango butter, or a few other ways. They have great cinnamon sweet potatoes. The appetizer of Cuban bread is soooo good. Yum, I'm hungry just thinking about it!
