Bags on WDW private transport

Hello all! Planning our August 2022 trip and looking at options to get to WDW from MCO. Looking at sunshine flyer and the private ground transport provided by WDW. Has anyone done the private ground transport? My concern is bags. Our travel agent said 5 bags for our family of 5. After a couple emails back and forth it came out it would be 5 checked sized bags.
Based on last year we had 3 or 4 (I dont recall) carry on bags, 2 checked and a couple backpacks. Would this fit?
Anyone who has had experience with private transport what were your thoughts?

The private transportation options offered in WDW packages are provided by Mears. I am a driver for them. For 5 people with 5 bags, I would recommend you book a van. The SUVs have fairly limited luggage space if the third row is in use, which it would be in your case, so a van is your best option.

Heard there is a hold until further notice on private transportation provided by Disney. I didn’t even know we could book private transportation. Is that only with a package? What about a room only or DVC booking?? Is it a concierge service or is this by chance a Minnie Van??

Probably a dispute with Mears regarding a fare increase and/or fuel surcharges.

Go to book private transportation directly on Mears site. Mears says they are fully booked for some dates. People paying for shared shuttle are more likely to shop for private options then guests who had the option of free DME

My TA said it could be booked in conjunction with a package. Dont know the specifics beyond that.
