Baggallini.....Ripstop or Crinkle?

Please give me your opinions. Thanks.

Carolyn:)

I was doing some research here on the Disboard (there are tons of threads on this bag, almost as bad as the Croc posts, lol) and found this thread HERE which describes the differences in the fabrics.
Here is the info from the site I linked on the difference in the fabrics. There is also a price difference with each bag depending on what it is made from.

Ripstop: Ripstop is a backed nylon, parachute style fabric, It has a subtle, tone on tone ¼” woven grid pattern – that stops rips. Ripstop has a similar look and feel to the nylon used to make windbreaker jackets and tents. Available in 10 bright colors, black and two patterns. Durable, lightweight, easily cleaned and water resistant.

Crinkle Nylon: Backed nylon, this fabric has a canvas look with a woven textural quality giving it a “crinkle” effect similar to the natural wrinkling of linen. Crinkle nylon, while still casual, is a more sophisticated fashion statement than ripstop nylon. Available in 13 muted, fashion colors. Durable, light weight, water resistant.

Metro Nylon: Similar to crinkle with a higher sheen and slightly heavier construction,
Available in four colors while supplies last.

Microfiber: Microfiber is a polyester fabric that has a very polished and structured appearance. Its light sheen, consistent color and fine weave give it a more sophisticated and formal look than the other fabrications. Available in 8 colors.

I actually ordered the Ripstop but got the Crinkle and I decided to keep it because I like it. The crinkle isn't really that "crinkly" IMO - it looks kind of like a smooth canvas (but w/more of a sheen than real canvas has since it's nylon fabric).

Hth :)

Does anyone have an opinion on which is more comfortable or less hot?

I have a Teenie Baggallini in microfiber and I don't like it - it shows fingerprints and dirt.

I bought the ripstop for my last trip. I really liked the bag, but when I wore a tank top (just about every day) by the second day the strap was really irritating. I ended up hanging the bag on the back of my stroller most of the time and just taking it off when we went on something.

I just ordered the baggalini uptown bag in the crinkle, I just figured that it might not look so summery and I could carry it year round. It hasn't come yet but I hope I like it. Its a messenger type purse, looks like a perfect size for me. Someone had posted a link for one of the other bags for 13.84 on a website, but it was more of a messenger type backpack and I wanted more of a purse.
