Baggallini or Travelon?

give me your opinions, people i was reading one of the other threads and i've looked at both the baggallini messenger bag and the travelon messenger bag on ebags-my only concern is with the baggallini being on my back, namely that someone could take something from it in that position. so convince me which one do you have and why do you like it? or if you were going to buy one, which one do you think it would be and why? my trip is in september and i need something a little less dorky looking (according to my DH, lol) than my fanny pack! TIA!

I just sent the Travelon back. It was much too small than I expected. You wouldn't even fit a water bottle in it. It would be fine if all you had was a cellphone, wallet & few small things. It's my own fault that I didn't read he dimensions. I am now on the hunt for another bag. I really don't want a back pack, but the fannypack is kind of dorky!!

oh wow thank you! i hadn't even looked at the dimensions! the baggallini is MUCH bigger-i'm still not sure about the bag on my back, but i suppose i'd have the same issue with a backpack.

My issue is with the strap on my chest!! I just got the baggallini in the mail, so I threw a water bottle on the side pocket and my passporter on the inside, moved the straps to the shortest, and threw it on one shoulder - it feels like it will work - dh worked with it too, as well as DD -

After ds, 20 stopped LOL at me, he said it was a HUGE improvement over the fanny pack...

gotta love 'em!!

I think it just depends on what size bag you want. We plan on taking a backpack with us as well so I wanted a smalled purse/bag to have on me. I bought the Travelon and I like it, but I wish it was just a tad smaller. But I like that it does have all of the inside pockets and the cell phone pocket on the front.

I just bought the Travelon bag yesterday. Yes, it is small, however, I think it will be just right for me to carry. I tried it on and it was very comfortable. It is large enough for my 2 autograph books, sunscreen, glasses, tickets and cash. I think the cell phone compartment is a little small, but my phone seems to fit comfortably. I wish it had a water bottle compartment,but DD can carry that with a water bottle strap. I look at the Baggalini and it looks great, but I think it would be too large for me to carry. i think it just depends on what you think you would like to carry. Both bags look like great choices.

I just bought the Travelon bag from QVC. The one I got has zipper on the bottom so if I need more room I can expand the bottom. This one has a small mirror attached too, along with a tiny ink pen, perfect for signing autographs. I have an older digital camera that is bigger and fits fine along with cell phone and room for more things!! It is not too big and bulky and comes in nice colors too. The shoulder strap is also detachable and can attach to your belt. It is called the Travelon mircosuede organizer bag and comes in camel, lime green, pink, light blue colors. Check it out it might be what you are looking for.

My issue is with the strap on my chest!!

I don't like that either! I was thinking about a Bagillini, but I don't even like those long thin mini-purse straps across my chest, so I can't imagine the thick Bagillini strap!

How do you like the Bagillini with shortened strap on your shoulder? Anyone else try it this way?
