I'm thinking of ordering Baggallini messenger bag. Since I've never seen one can someone describe the available fabrics to me. Crinkle nylon and Rip stop. I think I know rip stop-it has the small squares on it? Tell me what you have and why you like it. Also what color did you pick?

Thanks

(sorry about the pix-it worked for a few days-trying to fix it.)

Not exactly the same style but similar. It is light-weight and easy to clean.

I guess I have the rip stop (small little squares). I picked black (doesn't show dirt). I LOVE the bag!!!! Holds everything I need for a day in the parks. I am bringing it on the Disney Magic next week. I figure for shore excursions it will hold passports, room keys, camera, water bottle, etc. etc. and it goes over your shoulder for security and hands free shopping! :goodvibes

Being in NZ I don't know the kind of bag that you're talking about, but as a keen shopper I'll throw in a comment all the same! :rolleyes1

I'd personally take ripstop over other fabrics in a bag, if I had the choice. I used to work in a clothing store so am familiar with all sorts of fabrics, and the excellent thing about rip stop is that it (theoretically) does what the name says - stops rips. When the fabric tears, it (theoretically) shouldn't tear any further than the edge of the square, which can be handy in a bag if you might have sharp objects pointing through. Much easier to patch (from the inside of course :smooth: ) than other kinds of fabric that don't stop tearing until the seam! :sunny:

You probably all knew that anyway, but I thought I'd share in case other interested persons out there didn't :flower:

I bought the rip-stop....lime green, but not because I am a DISer, I just love the color anyway! I'll be trying it out on our soon-to-be trip to the World!

I have the rip-stop Baggallini Messenger bag, and I love it. I bought it to take to WDW in May, and I have been using it instead of my purse ever since. I loved it at Disney because I just slung (not sure if that is a word) it over my shoulder, and had my hands free. It is smaller than a backpack yet it holds A LOT. Also, it never got in my way on rides, because I could just swing it around from my side to my lap, and I never had to take it on or off. It even held my Brita water bottle in the side pocket so I could get to it easily whenever I needed a drink.

Mine is black, but that is only because I got it on e-bay for about $16.00 and they were only selling the black one. I think the colored ones are cuter, but they were also almost twice as much. I do like the black though, because I have used it every day for about 4 months now, and it still looks brand new. The black hides any stains, dirt, etc.

BTW - if you order a pink one 10% goes to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

That's good to know-I hadn't decided what color yet. Looks like pink would be a good choice. Thanks

Piglet-how much does the wallet bag carry-I like that one too!

I bought the rip stop in lime green today. Can't wait to receive it! :Pinkbounc

You might want to check on ebay for your baggalini. Back in April someone on here posted a site there where a seller had them ar a buy now price of like $16.00. I know alot of us Dis'ers bought them. They were made of the water-resistant ripstop nylon. At ebags they're over $30.00. I took mine on my trip to WDW this past May and plan to take it again in Sept, Dec, and again next spring.

Thanks Aubriee, I did check on ebay and right now they only have it in yellow for $32 which is more than ebags with Mousesavers 20% off. I think I'll have to order from ebags if I don't find it locally.

30 days and counting!!

Try shoebuy.com - their prices were better than ebags I think.

I bought one for our Disney trip and LOVED it!!! Dh loved it too--and said we needed to buy another one for our next trip!!!! We bought ours in black--since he would be carrying it the majority of the time and that color matches everything you where!!! We bought ours off of Ebay and the total w/ shipping was only $19 (New with tags) so keep watching and see what comes up--or try the ebay stores.
