I have the large wallet and have used it for a few WDW trips and a trip to Italy. I like it but I find I need more room inside so I just purchased the sling style messenger bag. The only negative I have read on line are the straps slipping and having to readjust them. Just wanted some feedback on what you LOVE or don't LOVE about the messenger. Thanks.

I have to say that the strap slipping is a HUGE problem. It cannot be ignored. I am usually so tolerant of things like that, but the Baggallini messenger bag drove me nuts every time I tried to use it. I do love all of the compartments, but I sold it at a yard sale for $1 because it was just unwearble.

I know that lots of others love theirs, though, so I just assumed mine was defective. Maybe not.

For months I had read all of the rave reviews for the Baggellini sling bag. I finally broke down and ordered one when someone posted that REI had them on clearance.

They only had two colors - blue and pink. I didn't like the blue. The problem was, there was no picture of the pink bag so I wasn't sure what the color would look like. I took a chance and ordered it anyway.

When I received the bag, I was disappointed!!! It was too small and the color looked like pepto-bismal

I threw the bag back in the box determined to return it.

As I was packing the night before our trip (yes, I'm a procrastinator :rolleyes1 ), I couldn't decide whether or not to use the bulky backpack I had bought or my usual fanny pack. The backpack was too bulky and the fanny pack was too small. In sheer desperation, I pulled the Baggellini out of the box and "tested" it.

I put my camera, wallet, TGM touring plans, umbrella, ponchos, cell phone and a water bottle in the bag. I was intrigued by the pockets in the front flap so I started looking for things to put in them - band-aids, gum, travel size medicine, etc. I even clipped a mini flash light to the clasp  ). It seemed like it would work but the color still threw me off.

At the last minute, I threw it in the suitcase along with the backpack and the fanny pack.

When we got to the hotel, I started to pull out my fanny pack but I grabbed the Baggellini instead. It was 1 pm and I figured we would only be at Epcot for a few hours so I would use this as the Baggellini test run.

Let me just say that I LOVED THAT BAG!!!!! It was the best thing I bought for the whole trip. I carried it everyday!!! It was the perfect size and everything I needed fit perfectly!!! I could not believe it.

I am a Baggellini convert!!!

Now I can't wait to use it when we go back next month!!! :woohoo:

P.S. - That little flashlight came in handy several times :thumbsup2

I had problems with slippage too! But I always have problems keeping shoulder bags on my shoulders so I didn't really think much of it. I just readjusted the bag and kept on moving.

My biggest problem was I had a sore shoulder (it was sore before I started carrying the bag). I had packed a foam suitcase strap to attach to my luggage so I could easily identify it at baggage claim. I ended up attaching it to the bag as sort of a shoulder pad. That really helped a lot.

Did you have a lot in the bag that made it really heavy?? Or is it the style of the bag?? Thanks

Once I took out all of the crap I didn't really need (I was actually bringing a tupperware shaker so I could mix my diet drinks at the parks - yeah right :rotfl2: ) the bag was not heavy at all.

I think it shifted because of the style. But again, I'm used to it :lmao:

I promise you will not regret it :thumbsup2

Instead of a Baggallini (came very close to ordering one) I got a sling bag from LL Bean that I love so far. I wanted something that looked more urban, sleek, and muted in color.

Turbo Sling Bag
I chose rustic purple.

If anyone was looking for an alternative.

We all bought these for our trip last Dec. as it was out first trip w/o a stoller. We loved them. Dh got black and was so happy to have a place for water and glasses, wipe for glasses, hand sanitizer, kleenex etc. He just loved having his stuff in one place. We all loved how many pockets there were. Just great for staying organized. DD was the only one to have a problem with slipping, as she was 7 and this is an adult bag, it wasn't enough for her to stop carrying it. They are already packed for this years trip. :)

I bought the Messanger one for our trip in Sept. I did have the same problem with the strap slipping but quickly solved that with a safety pin:thumbsup2 Now that I had solved that, I loved this bag. Fit everything we needed to take to the parks with us, even had extra room. And it was very comfortable. DH kept saying do you want me to take it for a while and I said thanks buts I'm OK.

I love my baggallini!

It holds everything I need to bring to the parks (camera and extra batteries, some meds, sunscreen, hand wipes, etc.) and it's comfortable to wear. I use the side pocket to carry a water bottle.

Pepto is my favorite color. When I was single in a condo...that was the name of the color I painted the walls.

What is REI?

I have been looking for a bag to take for our trip in January. I will need one big enough to fit quite a bit - possibly pullups if DD is STILL not potty trained by then, change of pants (in case of accidents), wipes, snacks, etc. I just carry a Eddie Bauer backpack/diaper bag now, but dont want to take something so bulky to the parks. I have been looking at the messenger bags. Can you still wear them on rides. I don't want to deal with taking a bag off everytime we take DD2 on a ride.
