I apologize for such an elementary question, but is bag transfer from resort to resort still ongoing with COVID? Any tips? For the day we need it the most, we are starting our day at Poly and staying in the MK area. We are going to be at BC the next couple nights. We’d like our bags to simply be at BC when we arrive but are unfamiliar with the process, timing, and expectations. Any info would be much appreciated!

They are still doing it. No promises on when they arrive. Doubtful they'd be there when you arrive (assuming if not early evening or later).

Thanks for the info. They can take up until about 8 pm, which is why I think it’ll work well for us. We are resort hoping in the MK area most of the day just checking out resorts and eating. We have lunch and dinner reservations over there, so them doing it is better than either a) us lugging them around all day or b) us making a specific trip over and back just to drop off our bags.

With the Poly resort closed, are baggage service still there?

Yes, they are still doing luggage transfers.

Here's the process:

You drop off your luggage (including any groceries) with Bell Services prior to 11am. You can have Bell Services come get your bags from your room if you choose. If you do that, you may want to arrange for that pickup the day before. You have to be in your room for then to pickup your stuff and calling down the morning of the transfer can have you waiting an hour or more for them to get to you. Pre-arranged times get priority.

You go about your day.

At approx 1pm, a massive dance begins. Luggage from each resort is transported to a central warehouse, where it is all sorted, put back on trucks and transported to the new resorts. This should be completed by 4pm, but occasionally takes longer.

Your luggage will be stored at Bell Services at your new resort.

When you're done with your day, go to your new resort.

To collect your bags, you can either pick them up yourself from Bell Services, or call from your room to have them delivered.

Remember that tipping is expected on either end of the process when Bell Services handles your bags.

Also, remember that you will not have access to your stuff from the time you drop things off, until they arrive at the new resort.

Groceries that need to be refrigerated or frozen should be placed in separate bags. Bell Services will store them properly throughout the process.

It's really very painless.
