Baggage Q

This year we will be bringing 6 suitcases, buggy and car seat. Are there porters at MCO to help with the bags? Normally we manage ourselves but this year as I am pregnant it will all be left to DH!

Also is there no longer a second baggage collection at MCO? TIA

Can't say I've ever seen anyone helping with bags, but then I've never really looked.

The second bag claim is still there it's just up to you if you want to use the second belt system or take your bags on the monorail yourself. I'm guessing you will need the 2nd bag system unless Dh has a few hands!!

Thanks! DH is so relieved that there is a second baggage collection! Would be a nightmare for him trying to wheel 2 trolleys!

At the 2nd bag collection there are porters on hand to take your bags, never used them but they are there, I believe $1-$2 per bag is usual tip.

One little word of warning, I am hearing that some people are being told one case each only onto the monorail at MCO.
Anything more has to go on the second baggage system

when we last went in 2004, we used the baggage handlers(i am blaming this on the fact that we had two very young children on a 9 hour flight )we gave the handler what we thought was the correct amount of tip for the bags we had, he corrected us and told us what he wanted to be paid, like fools we handed the money over, which ended up being $30 for 8 cases... we have been many times before and stiil got caught out, so what i am trying to say is make sure you know what you are going to tip and dont be swayed just because you are tired
