Got home Sunday morning and went to pick up my bag.

It looked like someone had driven over it-wheel busted off, frame bent, and plastic around top of handle gone.
I had to pay to get a cart to get it out of the airport.
I made a claim and this morning was able to get a brand new one.
AVEX Luggage on Dundas street in Mississauga is who Air Canada deals with. The staff there were great.
They tried to get me to take the same size and I said no thanks I want a new carry-on as I will not be checking my luggage ever again.
So I now have a new bag and am all ready for my March break trip.

Sorry your luggage got trashed like that, but WOW, that was fast resolution on your claim. Let's just hope your new luggage will have a longer life.

Wow, it makes you wonder what actually happened to make the bag that damaged. Good for you getting it replaced so soon. That's not the experience that most people have.
