:confused3 We are flying to orlando on 9th feb but are not flying direct. We have a connecting flight from manchester to dublin with aer lingus but booked with american airlines. Coming home we are flying via heathrow to manchester. Do we still have our 2 bag per person allowance or will we have to stick to there 1 20kilo bag rule and pay excess, or do they honor international baggage allowances as it was booked as part of an international package eek :confused3 This will seriously eat into my shopping at dtd...no malls this time as joining DCL:cloud9:

Unless it's on the one booking, ie a single reference number for both flights, then you are stuck with each carriers restrictions.

Even if it is then I don't think all low cost carriers honour the larger allowances in this case.
Never used aer lingus so can't comment.

Who is the flight with from LHR to MAN.

There is one single booking ref, booked through American airlines, they designated the domestic airlines. Returning from heathrow to man we are using ba

You should be OK, BA definitely will honour the transatlantic baggage, we have done this.

From the Aer Lingus site
3. Economy Class transatlantic flights to/from USA:

Free Baggage Allowance

A maximum of 2 Bags per passenger.

A maximum of 36kgs (80lbs)in total weight between two bags when weighed together.

No one bag to weigh more than 32 kgs (70lbs).

For Aer Lingus journeys between North America and UK/Europe, the baggage allowance for North America flights will apply to the entire journey within two weeks of initial departure date.

I'm still confused with your route.
Is it MAN to DUB to ORD to MCO or is there an AA direct to MCO these days?

Our flights are man - dub, dub - Chicargo, chicargo - orlando, coming home orlando - miami, miami - heathrow, heathrow - man. Bad flights really cheap price (half term) refused to pay virgin or ba prices. It is only dh and I so we can cope:)

It's a crazy world when you can get three flights cheaper than one and enough to make it worthwhile, half term or not.
Two I can understand. :confused3

We have had changes before and all had 2 cases and never had any probs so i would think you'll be ok .. we've also got a change this year so i really really hope so as i always buy far too much stuff :rotfl2:
