What kind of bag/pack do you carry around the parks with you when you have a little one? And what do you do with it when on the rides (take with? leave with the stroller?)

I'm pregnant and didn't want to tote a large backpack (DH will have one w/much of our gear)...however, I will have my video camera, spare change of clothes & pull ups for youngest DS, wallet, that I'll want with me - especially if/when DH and I need to seperate so he can go on the faster rides w/older DS's.

What to do?

I got a Travelon convertible backpack from QVC and love it! I used it for our last trip to WDW and am still using it now. Its smallish, yet theres still plenty of room for my things. I was able to fit a small video camera and a chunky zoom digital camera in it along with other things. The straps zip/unzip converting it from a sling to a backpack. There is a built in wallet (card slots) and a mesh zippered pocket in the back so no worries of someone getting into it while wearing it. Then there are two longish side pockets which is where I carried my cameras. One is a tad smaller than the other. Then theres a magnetic pouch (people report that they havent had any problems with the magnet ruining cards, but I removed it anyways and stuck a velcro tab on it). There is a small cell phone pouch in it too. Finally there is another zippered pouch which is a good size. It was comfortable to wear even when loaded with my cameras. The only hassle was taking it on and off to buy stuff or ride the rides (with the cameras it made it bulky so without them you could probably keep wearing it).

Sometimes I bring a mesh backpack, sometimes I bring the diaper bag. We usually bring it with us on attractions.

DH and I bring a diaper bag that is insulated, it keeps bottles of water and juice cold for DS (we freeze the water bottles and they stay cold for a while in the bag)

When I was pregnant, my dh carried a smallish backpack from LL Bean that was able to fit a camera, 2 bottles of water, change of clothes for our DS, sippy cup, and a few snacks. I had a wallet that had a wrist band on it that I kept in the backpack unless I needed it. We didn't have any problems taking it on rides.

When we went with our twins, we used a diaper bag, it had clips to hook it onto the stroller. When we went on rides, we left it with the stroller but took my wallet and camera with us.

There are some great bags out there, depending on what you are most comfortable with. I just ordered a Overland Donner bag, and it looks like it'll be perfect, my DH and I will take turns carring it.

Good luck in your bag search, and have a great trip!

I have this style bag that I bought in 2005 but I have Ariel Tink and JoJo's Circus. I also have Cinderella but it is a different style. We also have the matching lunch boxes that attach so we use it for bottles and things like that which we leave in the stroller until we have to get it out and we just attach and go.

I put diapers and wipes and some snacks and well as our camera and maybe a sweater and anything that we might buy during the day small stuff that is in the main compartment. In the bottom front compartment I put maps and pens and autograph books in it in the top compartment I put my cell phone and we bring the koolaid packets that put in there to have fast access to them.

This is the Cinderella bag that I have. it only has the main compartment and the line above cinderella is a zipper for a compartment that is from top to bottom I put all of my maps and things that I want easy access to and I leave it so that the maps are sticking out so I can just reach back and grab them. where the name and address tag is I put my money and tickets and it is easy for me to get to them w/out even taking the bag off.
