Bag check

Hi all
This is my first post! Can someone tell me what is the bag check? Where it is and what is prohibited ? I keep reading about queues at bag check etc... Dont want to get into trouble! What is not allowed?

Welcome They have security people doing bag checks in the village entrance by the parks & just before you go down to the main park. They are checking for explosives, weapons etc. The queues move very quickly

No glass bottles, alchool and full blown picnics and you'll be fine.

Thanks for the swift answer - I would love to stay in the Disneyland hotel - as I have never been there before does that mean that ur luggage is searched entering ? I was going to sneak in a bottle of champers!

It will go through a scanner like in the airport and they can remove any bottles so I wouldn't be trying it unless you don't mind losing it

Thanks for that , was just a little touch but not important by the look of the posts here I will be up early and knackered by bed time - no time for a glass of anything! But when u go to France I though a nice bottle of the best grapes was in order!

It depends how you are arriving.

If you are arriving from the train or bus station then as Carrie said your luggage will go through a scanner as the entrance to the hotel is the other side of the bag check area.
However if you are arriving by car or taxi/shuttle from the airport you enter by the main entrance so dont go through this area before going into the hotel.

Thanks for that I was going to get a private shuttle from the airport, I just didn't fancy my suitcase being opened in a big queue! Am I right in believing the Disneyland hotel is in the park?

Its not actually in the park but at the entrance to the park. You still have to go through the ticket barriers after coming out of the hotel
