Bag check question

I have a very slim hip belt which just about fits a small purse, will I have to go through the bag check with it? Or should I just tuck it under my shirt so I can walk through anyway?

If they notice something under your shirt, they will direct you to bag check. I've seen people be asked to lift the bottom of their shirt to reveal cell phones and other items clipped to their belts. I've seen people with very small belt bags being directed to bag check. If you can fit it in a pocket until you pass bag check (maybe it's the size of a wallet?) then you won't have to go through bag check. I usually wear cargo pants with large pockets, and just put my wallet and other things in the pockets instead of carrying a bag.

I can put the purse in one pant pocket and the belt would fit in the other. I just hate to have a purse in my pants all day, that's why I need the separate belt pack. It's really thin though so I guess it wouldn't even show under my shirt.

If it doesn't show when you're wearing it, you might be able to leave it on. You could certainly put it back on once you're in the park. I just wanted to give you a heads up that if they see anything under the shirt, they will direct you to bag check.

I agree with other people on the boards that it doesn't make sense to search the bags, but allow people with tons of pockets to just walk right in. But that's how they're doing it for now. They do have a guard posted at the "no bags" entrance that looks you over as you approach - that's who would be looking and directing you to the bag check lines if necessary.

DH has a vest similar to the ones the Disney photographers have and he carries his cell phone and our digital camera in it. Used to be he could walk in the "no bag" entry, but every now and then one of the guys will ask him what's in the vest pockets.

Just go through the bag check. It doesn't take long.

Until now it always took longer for me than when I just could walk through the no bag entrance.

I frequently stick stuff in pockets or shove it under a jacket or shirt to skip the bag check.

It's a wickedly clever plan. Use the power for good.
