First of all, there are a few people on this thread who've been overly sensitive. Anything posted on a message board is open to differences of opinion. Not everything needs to go to the debate board. No one has been nasty here except for the guy who said bite me. He's the one who should be admonished by a moderator.

Personally I hate the swimsuit issue. It's stupid. If I happen to get it out of the mail, I leave it in DHs pile. If he chooses to toss it, so be it. I don't think it's something he even thinks about and the issue is tossed every year with the rest of the issues. I don't 'let' him do or keep anything. If he tossed something of mine because he deemed it trash, whether he had done the same thing in previous years or not, I'd be mad. I guess the OP and her husband have a different way of dealing with this kind of stuff and it works for them. Whatever works. I cannot judge another persons marriage based on how mine works. Now that would be stupid.

Of course, Binny, you do realize that he probably goes out and buys a copy of that issue that you throw out and keeps it at work. He probably has a collection of them from the past 20 years or so. The laughter is just for show.

I agree with you about the hockey book. Several years ago, some magazine did a spread on NHLers wearing really nice suits and stuff, and that was actually a lot better than half nekkid NHLers could ever be
