hi,
hope all had a safe night trick or treating.we took ds age 5 out for a little.he was buzz light year, did you except a non disney costume with me?anyway around 8 he became tired and cranky.so we called it a night and on the way home i picked up some sushi for myself.i have got sushi from this place a dozen or so times.within a hour or so i felt horrible.stomache cramps, profus sweating and really bad nusea. It did'nt take long for the vomiting.the rest of the night i stayed in bed and felt horrible.I'm feeling a little better although i have bad stomache cramping and headache now.i don't think i will ever eat raw fish again.I aslo feel very weak, but i can tell i am a little dehydratied.at one point i think i looked like this :crazy2: hope all have fun tonight.have a great night all, don't worry i will be fine.

OMG, I hope you are feeling better! Maybe you should be seen by a doctor? I dunno, I have never suspected food poisoning, but that sounds awful.

I really hope you are feeling better soon!

Btw, when i looked at food Poisoning under Medline Plus, this is what I found:

Call your doctor if:

You have diarrhea and are unable to drink fluids due to nausea or vomiting.
You are on diuretics and have diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting.
Diarrhea lasts for more than 2 to 3 days.
There is blood in your stools.
You have a fever over 101°F.

Call 911 if:

You have signs of dehydration (thirsty, dizzy, lightheaded, faint).
Bleeding is excessive or your stools are maroon or black.
You are short of breath or having trouble breathing.
Your heart is racing, pounding, or skipping.
You may have poisoning from mushrooms, fish, or botulism.
You have any nervous system symptoms like weakness, double vision, difficulty speaking, or paralysis.
You have trouble swallowing.

Maybe it would be a good idea to be seen? I don't want to sound alarmist, but you do have the signs and I just wouldn't want you to take a chance with something that could be potentially serious.

Please keep us updated and again, I hope you feel better soon!

hey all,
thank you for all of your concern but, what no one offered to make me chicken soup :teeth: . i already feel better.one i got it out of my system any you can imagine how i did that.i have been drinking lots of gadorade, and have already eating a piece of toast.i feel just a little weak and off.i will rest tonight and tommorrow.if anything and i still don't feel well i will make a appt with my dr and see him tommorrow afternoon.thank you all once again

Oh no, poor thing. Hope you get better soon.

Sushi! I don't eat raw fish or raw anything for that reason.
A long time ago, 10 years maybe, I ate pork and it wasn't cooked well, OMG! I almost die, that was the worst experience of my life, i was in the hospital for a week, until this day no pork ever, and same for seafood, it can be deadly.

Take Care!

Ugh.

Bleh.

Hope you are feeling better soon. Food poisoning will just rip your guts out if you are not careful.

BTW, where I live, a large portion of the population (myself included) thinks that raw seafood is best used as BAIT, & not much else..........

Hope you're on the mend. Been there! Mine was a raw oyster. I used to like sushi too. No more. I've never been that sick before or since. I'll stick to cooked seafood. It's just too risky these days. Feel better! :goodvibes

Oh, MY! I've been there too. I have vivid not-so-fond memories of how sick I was from food poisoning. Sounds like you are through the worst of it, though. Now try some oatmeal. I know you probably can't stand the thought but if you could tolerate a little at a time, it'll really helped settle your stomach and let you start to get some strength back. Hope this continues to 'pass quickly.' (Sorry, couldn't resist ;) )

I once had a raw oyster kick my butt!! Man it was rough, but I'm addicted so I'm just more careful from where I eat 'em now. As far as sushi, I've probably eaten it 4-5 times a month for the last 15 years and have never once had a problem. This is a great lesson to buy only from good restaurants and never eat the stuff that sits out in the grocery store...I don't care what the "eat before..." date says!!!
