i doubt this will happen but what if you are not meshing with your team assigned to you or one server or person in particular how do you get different staff? just curious i doubt this will happen on DCL but i was curious has anyone experienced this?

Talk to the head server.

I agree with TVguy. Talk to the head server because that is his job. The head server is suppose to take care of any problem in the dining room. The servers truly want to please you and will do whatever it takes.

If food is the problem, tell the servers and they will bring you something else.

I have been on 3 DCL cruises and have never had a problem. The only small problem was that we were always the last ones out of the dining room because our server was on "island time" with a "no problem man" attitude. He was very good though!!

Our server Sami on our last trip was sooooo helpful. When we were shopping in St. Martin, we ran into him. My dh was sweating heavily. Sami wanted to know if he could go get us a towel.

I've had a problem before on NCL. I took it up with the head manager, needless to say I was compensated.

The head server is definitely the person to speak with. We have not had a problem ourselves, but on one of our cruises there was a grandma and grandson seated at our table. They didn't have an issue with the serving team, but everyone else at the table was adults and the boy didn't feel comfortable. After the first night, we saw them elsewhere on the ship and the grandma told us they had been moved; she spoke with the head server and he remedied the situation.

I dont know if this is reassuring to you, but in 7 cruises, we've had nothing less than excellent service from our waitstaff....

On one cruise, I think we had a new stateroom host that did not leave a towel animal in our stateroom the first evening....Since this is particular thrill for my DSs, I called Guest Services, and for the rest of the cruise we had wonderful towel animals....

In 3 cruises, I have not had a problem.

The servers were all excellant and accomadating. I never had to request to change tables, even though I travel alone. Once I was seated with a group of other single women, they were a hoot. The second time I was seated with 3 couples from 3 different parts of the country. They were diverse, but friendly and interesting. The last cruise, I was seated with a family of 5. Now you would think this might be uncomfortable, but it actually turned out fine.

I would not hesitate to speak with the head server if I had concerns, or call guest services if there were problems in my stateroom.
