Hello DIS'ers!
First off, I would like to say i just need to blow some sad steam off :worried: I need to tell somebody this, and I knew DIS was the best place to go. So here I go:
Alright, my tale begins a few hours before our school Valentines Day Dance. I was so excited, I got my hair washed and everything was set to be perfect. I had gotten my nails done yesterday, and this afternoon I had recieved my retainer :) Well when I got there all was fine, and I was hoping to see my crush*s* there. I soon learned only 1 showed up :( but 1 was better then none, I had told myself. All my best of friends show up a few later, and the music starts  I went to talk to some of my friends, but every time I called their name they seemed to just walk away. As always, I had hoped this dance will be the one that's magical and the 1 I shall always remember. Boy, was I wrong :worried:
Well I had found one of my "aquaintence" friends and "our" song came on (we dance to this song at EVERY dance) I walked up to her and insisted we dance. She got up from her seat, pushed me *literally* away from where she was. and sat down again. :( That didn't work out *duh* so I went to see my other friend, whom I had remixed the lyrics of a song with and when the song comes on we sing our version. Our song came on and I wanted to go dance with her, but her friends seemed to "pull her away" from me :( I knew this wasn't going to be the best dance, but I didn't see THIS coming. THIS made me maddest of all! :furious:
I wanted to go talk to my bestest friend in the world (BlueSavannah). Well she's "friends" with this "popular" girl who, no offense, is a real big JERK *God help my soul if she's on these boards - knock on wood* Well the other gym had a few B-Ball knockout games, and I wanted Blue to come with me to watch (Ow I just banged my toe right now!!) the game. Well I went up to her and proceeded to ask the question when all of a sudden her JERK friend comes up and tugs her away!! :furious: I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO ticked when this happened!! :furious: So I walked into the other gym.. alone.. and sat down. Blue later came to the gym with me, but left five minutes after because a B-Ball almost hit her @_@. :rotfl: I was seriously almost crying after the night was over.
And my crush? I can just forget about him, because I think he found a GF, for one. And another thing is at the dance the only people he danced with were all the "popular" people. :worried:

Just blowing off the hard core steam of the night, thanks for reading! I feel better knowing DIS has always been there for me :goodvibes

aww :(

there will be a dance that you will always remember :) and if it isnt my inferno dance i dont know what it will be! WOOT! :)

seriously green, dont sweat it , there will be more dances, and there will be better times! dont you worry!!!!

be glad you havent had the best already, or there would be nothing to look forward to ;)

:grouphug: I know it's hard when you are young to not sweat the small stuff. You will have more dances, bad and good, and more girl friends bad and good, and more crushes or boyfriends bad and good. We have all had bad times with boys and best friends and school events that went wrong.

You made me look back now at a junior high dance I went to that went so wrong, I think a boy dumped me that night :rotfl: Something like that anyway. It is so funny now how many tears I cried and how upset I was. Being a teen is full of drama and in the end you learn and grow from it but it should never take you down.

You will have a perfect dance, there is plenty of time. I finally had a really great one that I remember when i was 16 or 17. :goodvibes

As far as your friends being rude, well that's just it they were being rude. Either ask them about it when you are alone and feel comfortable doing so, or let it go. Girls go through phases, best friends with person A today and person B tomorrow. It has nothing to do with you as a person. It usually as to do with their insecurity. I guarantee in the end when you all graduate together the petty things will be forgotten and the happy times will be remembered by all! :dance3:

PS: sorry so long, my girls are too young for these problems and I feel the need to try and help before i forget what it was like being a teen, LOL!

I also had a valentines dance yesturday, although mine didnt cause so much drama.
Im not in the "popular" crowd in my school although i am aquaintance friends with almost all of them. I wouldnt worry about your crush, you will probably find someone better. Being a teen is hard but you just got to take the hits.
Take a big breath and get on with your life,
as for your friends perhaps they got caught up in the moment
you have lots of great dances up ahead of you girl!

You will find better dances trust me mine was odd I came not expecting to dance with anyone and ended up dancing with this one girl so every dance has something new 0_o

Thanks for the advice :) I just needed to get some steam off my mind :)

awww, I feel so sorry for you! It really stinks when your friends diss you. If they gave up a fun time with you to hang out with snobby popular girls, then maybe they aren't worth it.
Just remember, you have a big big big big big big family on dis!!!
