Okay, I realize this makes me either a bad mom, or a total ditz - or maybe both. ;)

But for the life of me, I can't remember what time of day my second DD (now 3 months old) was born. It's not written down anywhere, it seems. I know it was in the afternoon sometime between 1pm and 3pm.

Would the hospital have these records? Any clue how I can find out before she grows up and asks me why I remember her older sister's time of birth, but not hers? :rotfl:

For some reason I can always remember my older daughters time of birth but not my seconds....they gave us a certificate with all of her info on it though...but if I didn't have that...I'd lie lol

We were just discussing this earlier today.
I can remember ALL of DS's stats.... DD, well, I know the DAY and that it was after 8 am, but not the exact time...... I do know her weight and length though :goodvibes

I know it is on her birth certificate.

I got a little keepsake thing from the hospital and it was on the form to get the birth certificate. But, that might be a state thing. When I filled out the birth cert forms, they sent me another form that I used to get the birth cert and it had the time there, too.

Don't feel bad. I can never remember birthdays. My DDs are 6/19/07, 5/23/08, and 5/22/09...when we go to the pedi and they ask DOB to verify, it takes me a while to put all of the numbers together the right way for the right kid.

I know DD1 was born around 6:30pm and DD2 and DD3 were both born slightly after 12:30pm. That's the best I can do, so they'll have to accept that when they're older, if they ask. ;)

If they push it when they are older, tell them you were busy at the time and didn't have time to watch the clock .....once they give birth,...they will understand LOL

At least you know what day they were born...apparently my grandmother was born 1/13 sometime after 11 PM - they put 1/14 on her birth certificate - my great grandmother swore up and down they got it wrong it was before mid night.....but she was a little ...eh...loopy so you couldn't really take her word for it either...my poor grandmother never knew her real birthday LOL She celebrated both days :thumbsup2

Oh oh oh oh oh oh....can we make a club? with a handshake? and a secret code? Because I can't remember my second child's either:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm not too worried about it because I am reasonably sure that it's written down somewhere. I'm fairly certain it was in the afternoon:rotfl:

I'm blaming my children for making me stupid.

OH MY GOSH, you all are making me feel so much better! :worship:

Glad I'm not the only one who has forgotten...

With my first, I aways knew how old she was down to the day. Now when people ask me how old my second DD is, I have to stop and scratch my head for a bit.

Having kids really does burn up brain cells at an alarming rate, doesn't it! :scared1:

It really disturbing that I can remember their age but not my own sometimes :lmao:

Oops actually, take that back, we went to the drive in and told them DD was 9 (not sure why I thought that) but she promptly corrected me that she was in fact 8 :rotfl2:

They probably are used to parents lying about their kids being younger to get the kids prices, wonder how many times the parent just really doesn't know at the moment :rotfl2:

I was the second born and my mother fully admits that one day shortly after I was born, she loaded my brother in the car, took off down the street only to realize I was still in my crib at home :rotfl: - I wish she kept that to herself

My DD's bday is 4-5-93, my dad's was 4-6 and my younger DD's is 9-6-94. I went to get a presciption filled the other day for the older DD and they asked for bday. I had to stop and think becasue I kept giving the girl the wrong date because I kept mixing up all the dates. :sad2:

oh, my DD's birthday is 9-6-96! She's excited about being a teenager, but she's most excited about it being "only two more years before I can drive!" That's all I've heard for several months now. And oh my, you are there!

OP - DH's mother has no idea when he was born (he's also the second child). She thinks it was around 4pm. It's not a big deal to him that he doesn't know. I was adopted, so of course my mom had no clue, but I reunited with my birth mother 7 years ago, and she couldn't remember either. (of course the poor thing was only 14 and probably scared to death). She knew it was around 10am. I really wanted to know my time of birth and I actually did get my hospital records to find out. It was 9:47. :)

Oh, my older DD was born at 7:17pm, and the hospital used military time, so when she was born, someone called out, "Nineteen Seventeen," and for the longest I kept thinking she was born at 7:19, but of course, it's 7:17.

My little one was born at 3:21pm, which she thinks is very cool. Three...two...one...blastoff! LOL

I'm sure you can get your birth records from the hospital if you really want to know. If they give you grief over requesting them, get your OB to do it for you. :goodvibes
