Honestly if were not for bad luck I would have none. You all may remember about 8 weeks ago, Actually March 17th, we had a frozen pipe and the basement (finished) flooded, Well somewhere between 9 and 12 grand in damages, My head is fuzzy on the final total. Lets just say 1 new ceiling, all new rugs, paint, etc... etc... 3 days after the water was extracted after a frozen pipe. Another pipe, that a contactor shot a nail into corroded and burst, But since we were in the thick of the frozen pipe drama, It was all one issue.
It took 6 weeks to fix everything it was not fun. Which brings me to today.....We went away for the weekend. actually have been gone since Thursday. Came home today, went down to do laundry and yes, It is flooded again!!!!!!Our water heater 5 years old. by the way leaked and the its water everywhere again. The restoration guys just left, all the rugs 6 weeks old are pulled up again and 2 walls are soaked through the drywall. My insurance company is going to drop me for sure,And this time no hot water to boot. well I think I may have a stroke. Honestly in 17 years of homeownership. I have never had so many things go wrong. Ok, vent is over!!!!!!

Oh no, that is terrible! Honestly, it would make me sick just thinking about it. I hope everything works out for you, including you keeping your insurance.

You poor thing, you've had a couple of bad months. Our basement flooded once, we lost so much stuff.

Oh no!! :( Sorry about this and hope your luck turns to "good" VERY soon!

Oh mom, that is a bummer!!!!! UGH!!!!!We've had water at times over the many years, but nothing like that. My very best wishes for you guys. {{Hugs}}

I'm so sorry you're going through that. It can be so discouraging.

We call our house the money pit. There are times when things break faster that we can repair them. It's enough to make you pull your hair out.

Good luck on the repairs and with the insurance co.

Oh that's awful! :( I can imagine how stressed out you are. I hope you never, never, ever have to go through this again! :(

So sorry (hugs) :(

That's one of the main reasons we never did anything with our basement. Never finished it off to have actual rooms down there that could be used. DH has a big old table down there to work on his RC planes and we've got shelves for canning jars, an old cupboard, various crocks and "junk" but nothing that would get hurt if pipes burst and the basement flooded.
