There was one egg left in the carton.

I was trying to make room in the fridge. I threw out the egg carton.

I put the raw egg in the vegetable crisper drawer.

DH put a head of cabbage in the vegetable crisper drawer.

I just cleaned a broken raw egg out the the vegetable crisper drawer.

I just washed raw egg whites off a bunch of peppers.

UGH! I do the same thing and its always a bad idea, when will we learn? I hate the room an egg carton takes up for just ONE egg! lol Lately I hard boil it and still stick it in the door or draw only to throw it away eventually. Poor poor single eggs.

A really bad idea is letting millionaire lottery winners continue to be eligible for food stamps and then publicizing it in the newspaper. That is a really bad idea, the egg thing not so much!

You gotta put your fresh eggs in a bowl to protect them. That's what I do. When I read your first statement, I knew what the others would say.

I just stick the random egg in one of the little rubber-maid containers and then stick it on a shelf in the door.

Or cut the carton to hold just 2 eggs.
