Bad Hair Cuts

Well it wasn't actually a cut but highlights.

My cousin is here from Ohio and does hair for a living. Someone had the idea that I wanted highlights (To be honest, the thought hadnt crossed my mind in months). So she ended up giving me highlights last night. When we were done, my face looked like but I was more on the line of thinking . I went from being a medium-dark brown to a full head of platinum blonde. No offense to blondes , but the colour just doesn't work on me.

Now I don't want to hurt her feelings. She's here til Wednesday and she's coming back in a couple weeks. What do I do, recolour it on Wednesday and highlight it again before she comes back . I don't know seriously. Suggestions?? Oh and to make it better I have senior pics coming up.

( I was gonnna have her cut it, but now I'm not so sure....)

i think you should recolour, just tell her it was nice and all but it just doesn't suit you. hopefully she should understand if not well umm i don't know!!

Bleach it all out to one shade of a very very light blonde, then re dye it brown. you can then have it professionally highlighted.

We're running in to town to get a toner in a little bit. Whatever that is. I guess its gonna darken it a little. But I dont know if I want her touching it, she did the same to 2 of my cousins, an aunt, and shes doing another aunts now...

Why dont you just tell her you want to see if it suits you and then if you know it doesnt go and get it professionally done.

i would definately get it re coloured at a salon, if your not comfortable with it then you shouldn't leave it in fear of hurting your cousins feelings. shes family and will most likely not care or understand if you didn't like it, also don't dye it back and then get high lights just for your cousin its REALLY BAD for your hair! (dye it as few times as possible to get what you want)

I got blonde highlights last summer (they are still in !) and I have brown hair, but being in the sun my hair get natural highlights, but then my mom was like "Why dont you get highlights" So I did, they made my hair puffy! lol not very but still, they arent even close to growing out

I die my hair a lot, but I usually don't like it when I first get it done. I always like it after a few days. I've probably gotten it professionally dyed at least 15 times since the 6th grade. I'm originally a brunette but right now it's a very light blonde.

lol the EXACT same thing happened to me! i'm growing the highlights out now..
an eventually i will re-color my hair to a dark brown...

OMG Senior pics are coming up??????? well, yea i think they would! totally recolor and tell her you didn't think the color worked on you...... omg omg my senior pics are next year, i hope i don't have a distant cousin do my hair! haha lol yea just tell her...
