I've been to WDW in each of the five decades it's been open and it's just as special as it's always been. The only significant way it's changed in terms of the overall experience in my opinion is that it's WAY more expensive - as everything else seems to be these days!
Most people (guests and CM's alike) we meet at WDW are lovely. Do we run into the occasional jerk? Of course, but that was as true in the 1970's as it was during my last trip in 2012.
I think Kelly said it best. If you expect a perfect vacation (or anything for that matter) you are going to be disappointed, ESPECIALLY when dealing with people - who, as we all know, are far from perfect (except me of course
).
Have a great trip!
