Bad experience at PoP

Recently back from 8 nights at POP in July with NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER. None. Not noisy, room was excellent. Nice neighbors. No check-in problems.

In fact, it was so nice, we're going back in October.

The main problem we had was ever night the people next to me would leave their latch open to keep the door from closing. This would cause a loud banging noise. In the early part of the evening I did not care. At midnight this was a problem. When I called the front desk they said they would send security up to tell them to be quite. They never came.

Of course, you could have really freaked them out and gave the
other guests a lesson in security just by walking into their room
and turning on their lights, showing them that those latches are
not only noisy, but they're there for their own protection, as you
could have been a thief instead of a disgruntled guest kept
awake.

Of course, that could probably get you into trouble and kicked out
of the resort, but hey, it's a nice little fantasy. :)

The latch on the door is a problem at the moderates also. I think it is more a matter of who you are next to. We have been next door to families that were loud and others that we never heard. I am sure at times we have been loud and didn't even realize it.

As far as it being a new CM, it happens. The computers are very difficult and assigning rooms that are already taken is common but easily fixed. However, it does take time to learn a new job. All of us have started a new job at some point.

Most of your requests are not guarenteed. Building numbers/ smoking versus nonsmoking..all requests. When a resort is full to capacity (as Pop is most of the time) it is hard to fulfill requests.

As far as the loud people and security issues, now there is a problem!!!!! You definately need to follow up with this complaint. There is no excuse for how management/security has treated you.

TinkerBella012,
If you were threatened and were afraid of physical danger and security was not helpful at all than by all means don't let it stop here, let WDW know how serious you problem was and that you are upset over their lack of concern for your safety and the safety of the baby. There is No-Excuse for fear at the Happiest place on earth.

Sorry you had such a bad experience at PC. We stayed there in March and it was excellent. Check in was quick and simple, service was excellent. We got everything we requested without any problems. As far as the walls being thin, we certainly didn't hear anything outside of our room. We wouldn't have known we had neighbors except for the cute towel animals in the windows each day:) We loved it so much we are returning this March. I think most other posters have a good point--you can have nasty neighbors and bad service at any level of service, from Deluxe to Value. The security, however, is another issue that should have been immediately addressed.
