bad dinning reviews

The coral reef in epcot was the biggest dining disappointment of our trip. This would rate as a cafeteria enviroment with average food and an overpriced menu. If you are extremely lucky and draw one of the aquarium view tables it might lessen the feel of extortion. After our so called dining enjoyment at the coral reef we went back to the poly and ordered a pizza. Just sharing the info so others dont get fleeced.

The Akershus in Norway...We went for the PSB dinner and while the character interaction was WONDERFUL!! The food was disgusting. My kids wouldn't even eat it. We will never go back there.

A lot of people love the place and maybe it is just we don't have a very seasoned palette, or maybe we got them on a bad day I don't know but we will not give it a second chance!!!

I agree! We went for dinner in Sept. and my kids would not eat it either. I was so mad that I wasted my TS credits! I made my ADR's this morning and the CM asked me if I had considered going there. I politely said "no thanks" and thought "NEVER again"!

Whatever the german cafe @ epcot is ( i think it is the biergaten) was junk. Nothing like Johnsonville for an authentic brat!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow Land Noodle Terrace, I think they get the food from ALPO

To me The Big River Grill is the worst.

I haven't had a good meal yet at the ABC Commissary in MGM. Their burgers are over priced and the wraps not very good either. The cubano is okay.

Another down vote for Akershus... the characters were wonderful, but the food was completely forgettable!!

I am concerned about the Coral Reef now, we are looking forward to going this summer... does anyone agree that its not that great?? :listen:

Did you mean a table in the first tier, right by the windows? Because I thought all the tables have a view of the aquarium.

The food itself was disgusting, or nobody in your family liked it? There's a difference.

BOMA!! The ambience was great but the food was just way too eccentric for my simple tastes.

The Hoop-Dee-Doo. Now it's been 2 years so my memory is a little distorted... but I'll try my best:

When you arrive they have like salad and bread on the table. YUMMMMMM

Then like an hour into the show they finally bring out the real food, the chicken, ribs, baked beans, corn... I don't remember the corn or the baked beans, but the chicken was a little on the greasy side (like it comes from KFC) and the ribs were good. So we ate the whole bucket of ribs, and waited like 30 min before a waitress came by, asked for more ribs, she brought them out... they we're cooked. I took a bite out of one, ICCKKK... then grabbed another in case it was just that one.. RAW.. EWWWW.. horrible. Plus the "character" guy who came around to us was really rude.. and I don't mean rude like he's supposed to be... like they do the "whose birthday is it in here" and go around the room and stuff like that. It was mine.. and he's like "whatever" and walked away. I dunno.. that was just part of it.
Then we left, and it was downpouring. We asked a cast member how to get back to our resort, he told us to go to the boat dock and wait. We waited in the freezing rain (it was 40 outside) for 25 min, no boat. GEE Maybe it was cuz the MK was closed. So then they said go wait for the bus. 45 min waiting for a bus. The Epcot bus came by like 2 times. Finally on the third Epcot bus came by and we asked if he'd take us to Epcot so we could catch our resort buses there. He had to call it in and ask, and said it was ok. So we finally got back to our room and I was so sick from testing them raw ribs and sitting in the rain. I was not happy.

Another vote for thumbs down on Big River.
My DS and I tried it last June on our last day at WDW. Food was OK but the inside kind of musty and needed a good cleaning. Since they have only single doors to the outside it's easy for flies to enter and annoy you during your meal. Not in any way a Disney restaurant....except for the prices.
Too many good places to eat in the Epcot resort area to waste any time and money at Big River.

Since this is a negative review thread, I will only say that CR tends to inspire either very negative or very good reviews. My experience has been the latter, so look up other reviews before you decide not to go. There have been lots of good reviews.

As for the topic of this thread, Whispering Canyon is my least favorite spot to dine. Have tried it twice and been disappointed both times with the food, the service, and the "fun" factor. Though we usually stay at VWL, we won't go back to WCC before the next millenium.

The absolute worst food we had was at ABC Commissary in MGM. After that it would have to be dinner at Sci-Fi ... yuck!

Le Chefs de France! :scared1: First time I ever sent food back and ordered something different. Three other people seated in nearby tables did the same thing that night!
