Hi I we went to Ohana to celebrate my B-day. Tha food was wonderful, the service was the worse I ever had. I dont know if Im allowed to post my servers name, but she rushed us was not friendly at all and did not have any custumer service skills . It seemend very strange to me Disney its known for a great custumer service....
I told her at the beginning of our dinner that we had the dinning plan. She said that she will ask us about that after dinner. She was very disorganized brought entrees before appetizers, I will ask for one thing she will do another ,as she was not paying any attention at all.
When she returned with our check she said that we had nothing left in our dinning plan. It was our last night so I knew for sure we had the TS left for dinner. That morning at breakfast I checked my balance and I had kept the papers in my purse.
Ok so I kept on telling her that I did not use my table sitting that day, she said "there is nothing I can do" how are you going to pay for this ,with your room key? I was upset and surprised . I told her well I guess I have no choice I will pay with my room key. She also told me to go to the hotel and talk to them there.
After she left, I told my husband that I was not leaving until I solved the problem. I saw a lady wearing a different outfit and I called her , and sure enough she was the manager. To make a long story short , she fixed the problem right away , and of course I did have my table sitting.
I think instead of making the costumer upset and frustrated she should of said ,let me call my manager and not tell me, There is nothing I could do. I want to know if any of you knows the address so I could write a letter? Thanks, Just becareful some people like this server just dont care.......

Wow, yeah, I would definitely complain to Disney about that. Sounds like she was new and overwhelmed. At least the food was good. I would have been disappointed as well.
Good thing the manager worked it out for you!

That's a shame.....I certainly wouldn't have left much of a tip for her. I'm glad you enjoyed the food, however!

I'm glad you talked to the manager! That is crazy.

When we went we had Cousin Joe and Cousin Cliff! They were AWESOME!!!! I hope we get to see them again when we go.

I can only imagine if that was me. I would have a auto 18% tacked onto that bad service. We have a party of 6 so that means I get to pay for someone not to give good service. NICE!

I hope that everyone remembers to talk to a manager if something is definitely not right....
thanks for posting your experience....and glad that the food was still good there.

RE: talking to the manager if something's not right. What about if it's something such as not keeping the drinks refilled often enough? Is it better to talk to a manager or just ask the server to keep the drinks comin? That is one thing that REALLY bugs me when I'm dining out.

One thing that will bug me is not getting my drink refilled. I consume a lot of fluids when I get hot and I also drink after every bite of food. Many times I will ask for two glasses just so I don't run a waitress to death. If a waitress is ignoring our table I will take my glass and walk over to where they seem to be going for refills and block them in and embarrass them. That usually gets some attention. But that generally only happens at buffets when they really aren't waiting tables for the tip anyway. I still have a hard time tipping 20 pct for someone to give me two drinks and pointing to the buffet line.

As much as I love 'Ohana - and it is my #1 top mostest bestest favoritest place to eat in all WDW - I have sometimes had bad servers who ignored me, let my drink remain empty for 15-20 minutes, and not smiled once during my meal.

Most of the time my service at 'Ohana is quite good, but once in a while I just get a grumpy cousin who is more interested in hanging out in the kitchen that doing their job.

That annoys me to no end. I'm not so heavy a drinker that the server has to fill my glass every 5 minutes, so when my glass gets empty and stays that way for more than 10 minutes the tip begins to erode quickly.

Are we allowed to post bad servers name here? just curious. Where can I writr a letter to.
Disney is about magical experiences that is why we all love it but I really think people like this lady should be reprimended. That was a b-day celebration....

This is a universal address. If you want it to go to the right people, you might want to address it "Attn: Polynesian Resort - Food and Beverage Management".

Walt Disney World Guest Relations
P.O. Box 10000
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Since the manager helped resolved your issues, PLEASE make sure you mention that the manager was helpful, but you wanted to make sure this issue was addressed.

Keep the emotion out of the letter and stick to the facts. One sentence about it putting a sour note on a birthday celebration should suffice. Anything over the top and exaggerated out of proportion would probably not be taken seriously.
