It may have been on the charts for awhile but it peaked at #9 on April 29th on the Billboard Charts -- proof that no matter when it came out American Idol gave it the boost of LIFE.
It's like the OJay's getting a boost with For the Love of Money when the Apprentice first came out. Unchained Melody returned to the charts after Ghost... it happens.
What it does is open up the demographics... people who have NEVER heard it on their chosen channel will hear it whether they like it or not and what happens? They download it, they buy it. Those who knew it forever go
WTH???
Tell your daughter you were both right!
